For my beginner piano students who want to learn Taylor Swift songs, this book is great. While I still teach out of method books, (learning to read the grand staff, etc.), this is a fun way to teach my students chords and melody. Plus, learning chords is a good thing! Most importantly, students are so excited about learning when it's songs they love. This book is a terrific supplement to their piano lessons. After all, what's most important is keeping students engaged so they experience the JOY of music! Teaching from the lesson book and this one keeps things balanced and fun, providing a well rounded music education.

I teach piano and I have a couple students "of a certain age" (around 10 years old), who are big Taylor Swift fans. However, their piano skills are not quite up to playing most versions of her work. This book offers a simple approach - right hand note names are printed on the written notes, and left hand plays chords. It is about as "stripped down" for the young student as possible!! My students are excited about being able to play some of her songs, and they are motivated to practice, so it is all good!! The book arrived quickly, and is in perfect condition. It was carefully packaged for shipping. I will be pleased to purchase from this vendor in the future! KLF

My daughter was delighted to receive this, because it happened to have many of her favorite songs and she found it easy to begin mastering the songs. The only criticism she had is that the sheet music only incorporates the right hand. Still, a great gift!

My new to piano 9 year old is loving this book. We’ve had it 30 min and she’s already banging out Blank Space. I was excited to see that each song had a chord/finger placement guide for the left hand. I’ll have to help her with right hand finger placement. So disregard the review that this is right handed music only. The left hand is played strictly by chords and it really enhances the simple right hand. Each song is just an excerpt, so don’t expect the full song. Also, for the sake of simplicity some of the songs are in a different key than the originals. Your kid may comment on how they sound different from her recordings and that’s why.

This is a compilation on her popular songs. Each song is about 2 pages each. It is very basic with only right hand music. For my purposes, it is great. This is a great choice for someone that likes Taylor Swift and is a beginner pianist. I would recommend for someone who can read music and likes pop music.

This book is helpful for beginners playing right-hand melody, however the chord diagrams are possibly inaccurate. Many resources show the chord C is played as C-E-G. This resource shows chord C as E-G-C, which is a first inversion C major, usually written as C/E so it’s a bit confusing to those learning chords. The songs are partial and do not include the full songs or lyrics. It is helpful for beginners though and not intimidating. It may be something people grow out of quickly though.
