Had this for 12 hours and LOVE IT! Better performance than my 10 yr old UPS battery
5/5 Rating Pros Can handle large loads of power Easy to connect and register LCD Digital Display 8 plug outlets Takes up small space Cons HEAVY!!! The outlet plugs on the back are very close together, it's tough to use all the plug outlets Pricey I operate a small business as well as do tons of research with my custom built computer. I have dual 32 inch monitors that takes up a lot of power. I am quite sure I draw more power than most. My previous UPS back up battery served me well until I got the monitors, now 3 times a month I get an overload on my UPS and the noise won't go off until I unplug all outlets. It's grown to be a pain. Until this arrived. First impression - It's HEAVY!! Once you get it out the box you see it has a small form factor which is good. It can lay under the desk or to the side. I like that it has 8 outlets but they are so close together you can't plug anything that has a large plug without taking up two spots. I plugged everything I had in my 10 yr old UPS and the load is only at 25% on this. I love it. It was easy to register, I haven't used much of the advanced features but I will slowly get into it. So far so good. I'm very impressed with the quality and ease of use. I will update my review after using for awhile.

Nice, but HEAVY
I purchased this unit to protect a 2019 Mac Pro, which benefits from the pure sine wave output as opposed to the simulated sine wave on other models, which may eventually cause issues with the power supply. This unit is very heavy, weighing almost 60 lbs. It was hard to maneuver into a media cabinet, but otherwise, set up was a cinch. I just plugged in all of my peripherals, connected the UPS to the network via ethernet, and plugged in the USB-A cable from my Mac to the UPS. After turning the unit on and setting up the UPS via a simple wizard that asks basic questions on the LCD screen, everything powered up and my Mac automatically recognized the UPS without any additional software. I was able to configure the UPS shutdown parameters via System Preferences > Energy Saver > UPS. - FYI, the batteries were about 87% charged when the unit arrived, but they are now up to 99%. - There is an off putting chemical smell when you first remove and use the UPS, but it dispersed after a couple of days. - Operation is silent. I haven’t heard any fan noises or beeps from this unit so far. - FYI, the 2019 Mac Pro connected to this unit has 16 cores and an AMD Vega II graphics card, but even at full load, it uses about 50% of this UPS’s capacity. There is also a Caldigit TB3 dock and LG Ultrawide display attached. So far, I am happy with this UPS, but I’m not looking forward to carrying this heavy unit out of the cabinet in 3-4 years to replace the batteries.

long runtime
This is my third unit like this and all 3 are working great. I like them because they have a long run time if the power goes down for a while and they use inverters to generate the 120v when it is running. They just quietly grind away in the background with no issues.

It does what it says it does.
This unit is reliable. I have had a server running just under its 1500W threshold. Power has gone out a number of times, as demonstrated by all the blinking appliance clocks. The computer I left running attached to this UPS did not miss a beat.

Terrible Service and battery died in less then 2 YEARS!! GOLDENMATE to the rescue!!
So, it is quite a story - I went from biggest supporter of this product to the biggest hater. And all of that THANKS to the GENIUS of the Schneider Electric. So. how that happens? Well - Device is just 2 years OLD and it is ALREADY reports that Battery Replacement is REQUIRED. Second which is the MOST annoying - You have to use CLOUD-based-Never-Working-My-Schneider-Nightmare Service for which NOW they want you to pay $25 annually. BUT even if you paid and then try to access your devices guess what happens: Ohh SNAP We hit an error on EVERY SINGLE LOGIN for past 6 (!!!!!) MONTHS!! And of course there is HELP Support that offers you to buy some premium access or just give them some many and they will get back to you. Honestly - The product is only half good as it is USE TO BE. YET the Service of this company is the WORST of them all. oooh BTW - The NEW unit cost $700 and replacement battery $450 and PLUS Annually Plan to be able to know that Schneider Electric needs more money will add another $25 or $70 (depending on a plan) So, basically you are buying NEW device every 2 YEARS. So, THANKs BUt THANKS! Buy buy greedy guys!

Probably a good UPS for a home laptop
There was no printed user instructions. I don't have a CD drive in my laptop either. Who does nowadays? The instructions come on CD. So does the Powerchute software. I finally got it to talk to my laptop via the USB cable and an external drive to load the software but the version on the website for APC doesn't work. The one on the CD does. Also when I first started it up, it did a self test and told me the battery failed. Well the production QC tag taped to it said it passed two months ago, so I thought either bad battery or dumb APC. It was dumb APC. After charging fully like the troubleshooter guide said I tried to restart it all over. Another fail. So I ran it down to 20 percent battery on a load, charged it up again and NOW the battery test passes. So before you send back 60 pounds of iron and lead, give that a try. Cycle the battery if just charging it doesnt clear the self test fail. My load of 17 percent gives me about an hour of runtime (I was hoping for more) and I never saw any notice on the PC that the UPS was running on battery alone, or that it was down to 20%. I have used APC UPS for a long time and never had one that actually did what I expected it to (let me know its running on battery on the PC, do a planned shutdown of the PC, etc. ) They do beep a lot. Hard to miss that. But if power goes off at 2 am I really don't want to hear the beeping, just a quiet shutdown. I think I can turn it off in software, but honestly all the others I ever had I opened up and cut out the sounder. That solves the problem. Kind of expensive solution for an hour of backup, thinking I could get a less costly unit to do the same thing.

Very good supply
This supply is really great. My last UPS was causing my computer not to restart. When I would boot with it plugged in, about half the time the PC would hang during boot up. This UPS produces reliable power. It can keep my computer running for 2 hours. The power out seems to be high quality and noise free enough. My computer boots up as well as if it were plugged straight into the wall.

Great Company, Great Power Supply
This is a great power supply. I have used this model for over 10 years, but I just ordered the new model. It is much improved and connects to the my internal network and the usb connection to the computer is a much better process using any usb connection. Great software has been improved.

Work as expected and better than my original old BX850M
The unit was very easy to install and setup. It was purchased to replace a APC BX850M . Just had to power down the old unit. Install this new one, and power it up. Now I can enjoy my 2 PCs not having a single overload alarm. I'm an happy camper now :-)

Partially satisfied. Missing functionalities.
I'm partially satisfied about the product. It does his primary job of UPS greatly. But it was impossible to connect the UPS with the software provided with the USB cable. And the ethernet port is not for local monitoring but only to check the UPS status through the APC smartconnect website. This was not what I was looking for and from the documentation and the description is really hard to infer that limitation. I was looking an UPS with a embedded web interface and a software to be installed on the ESXi server (or Windows server at least) to shut it off when power level went critical.
