What kind of amps do these work best with wattage solid or tube stuff like that im planning on getting it and wanna get a decent amp

The BS5 speakers have a nominal impedance of 6 Ohms. It should be supported by most modern AV receivers and amplifiers. Any amplifier with 30 watts or more of power per channel should work well with these speakers. They are very easy to drive and does not require anything expensive or special. We recommend stereo amps made by manufacturers such as Pioneer, Yamaha, Denon, and NAD. If you purchase an inexpensive class D amp, just make sure it comes with a good power supply. Kind regards

Are these 8ohms, bare wire connectors?

These have a very solid banana plug connection; currently using banana plug terminators with great results. The connectors 'screw down' to tighten. Fortunately for you, when in the 'loosened' position you can wrap a bare wire around the base of the post and screw the 'plug' receptor down on top for a solid bare wire connection. Btw, I returned a pair of highly rated Polk speakers that were missing something IMO. Ordered these and am truly 110% satisfied!

Any estimation on when these will be back in stock? (I just got a damaged version... I'm returning them and wanted to buy a replacement)

I saw that there is an eq update for bs5p. Can that eq be applied to passive version as well (with external dsp or eq program) ?

Thanks for contacting us. The firmware for BS5P is used to change the built-in DSP EQ settings. As you know that the model BS5 is a passive speaker, there is no DSP inside, so you don't need to upgrade the firmware. The BS5 speakers are optimized to the best condition before they leave the factory. Kind regards
