Perfect fit! I was sceptical at first before buying but it worked perfectly. I nearly purchased a whole new bin lid before finding this online. Very happy I found this!

What is not to like? This purchase repaired our bin - so no need to buy a new bin. Easy to fit; it is still functioning perfectly.

It literally took a couple of seconds to slot the new catch to my Brabantia 50L Bin. I have had my bin for 16 years and my bin is in full working order again. Thank you Amazon for a brilliant product.

28 April 2018 I received it 2 days ago, fitted it and it worked. On the second opening of the bin it failed to close again. I removed it and re-installed it. It worked once. It now fails to operate. It seems to be a big swindle, but it's quite cheap. So I'll buy a few until one works. Depending on the number of duds I'll send them back for a refund. If Brabantia can't supply working replacements, who else is likely to? 29 July 2018 Bought another couple from a different supplier. They looked identical to the originals, and the first one failed within 5 minutes. I adjusted it and replaced it. It has now been working for about 3 months. Have no reason why. See You Tube for fitting instructions. Supplier of failed unit was MD MUZ bla bla. Successful unit from Pelican Ocean, but I have no reason to believe it is not just a matter of luck. Both made by Brabantia. My main conclusion is that Brabantia are at fault for a poor design.

I got this as the latch on my almost 10 year old brabantia bin had broken. I was very lucky as on my bin I only had to flick out the old part and put in the new, took all but 3 seconds. I figured I'd go for the genuine part as there were some mixed reviews on the cheaper ones. So I'm now hoping for another 10 years out of this one.

Costly, and always breaks

Perfect fit for for the lid. Works well. The price is a bit steep for what it is.

Cannot believe that this little inexpensive clip has given us our Barantia a new lease of life. We have had the bin for around 8 years and the lid decided not to close. I ordered this clip, fitted it and hey presto.....

So happy that I found this! I love my Brabantia bread box and hated the thought of having to buy a new one just because the little plastic gizmo broke. I replaced the broken piece with this one in seconds and now my bread box works perfectly again. I bought two, just in case.

Found this part and saved my brand new expensive trash can that had this part missing thru a move very satisfied with the company's excellent product part replacement. Without it the function of the lid would be hindered.

I have the "Old Design" cover which this catch did not work for. The vendor was excellent for delivery and return speed. I ended up buying the catch for a similar price from a european supplier on EBay that took a week to arrive but works for the "Old Design" cover. The problem from my perspective is that this catch is too small and the european version is slightly larger so it clicks in and stays in. If you have a new design cover then I would expect this catch to work for you, but cover replacement is far more expensive that getting the right replacement catch.

Le couvercle de ma poubelle avait cassé (enfin cette pièce spécifiquement). Le plus compliqué aura été de sortir l'ancienne pièce qui était cassée car celle-ci a été facilement remise en place (il suffit de la mettre dans l'emplacement puis de fermer le couvercle par pression pour bien la mettre en place)
