One day over 20 years ago I was standing in John Lewis looking for a hair brush. A lady advised me to try the Kent Head Hog. I have never regretted that. I’m on my third Head Hog now and they are perfect.

I've used wooden brushes for over a decade now and this is by far the best to date. Previous ones I tried were more expensive, smaller and broke easily.I've not written an Amazon review before but felt I had to when I saw the bad rap this product was getting.I've had this brush for over two years now and it's still going strong. Using any brush with wooden pegs is great for distributing the natural oils of your hair and the Kent Woody Hog is great for detangling painlessly but thoroughly, giving a lovely scalp massage as you brush.I have been experimenting with the 'no poo' method recently and this brush could even cope with all the different textures and products I've been putting it through!I have nearly waist length thick but fine stranded hair that tangles easily and when I've finally worn out this brush I'll definitely be buying another the same to replace it.

I have quite dense, curly hair. The thing with curly hair is that it is much drier than straight hair, making brushing an absolute pain in the ass, as you end up ripping half of the hair out. This is brush is perfect, it smoothly glides through my hair, helping to gently unknot it, adding directionality (temporarily) and making me look half-decent for at least a few hours, before my hair turns all frizzy again.

Lovely product, great for keeping hair healthy

I’ve been using these for years and they used to be great ... but newer ones fall apart almost immediately. I don’t know whether they’re seconds or cheap copies, but they are not Kent quality.

It's not what I expected. Since I have this brush I can not comb my hair properly without breaking my hair. What happens is that the hair gets caught in the space between the rubber cushion and the wood. I mean the rubber cushion comes out of its place and the hair gets caught there. Now I have to buy another brush, spend money again!

I bought this item on the 12th of February, I washed it for the first time 3 days ago and to my horror, the base rubber under the bristles started peeling off despite me abiding by the washing instructions. I want my money back as I don't trust this product anymore to have it replaced. I've never spent this much money on a hairbrush and am very disappointed.
