great reeds
more consistent than any vandorens, warm, bright enough to push but still a good middle ground for a deeper sound for ballads and etc. prolly my favorite widely accessible reeds. i personally use a 2m on a 7 opening mpc

Great alternative choice from the standard reeds
I bought these for my son who is currently learning what his favorite reed he would like to use when playing. So far it's these. I've played on them, and they sound great! I do have my own particular choice in reeds, but these are great when i've run out of my choice. My son on the other hand has picked these more than once, and it does have a significant difference in sound and durability compared to the Ricos that he would usually get. So I think these are the ones we'll be purchasing from here on out.

so far so good
I haven't played on cane for decades but recently I wanted to see if I could change my tone and because synthetics seem to be getting worse. Synth reeds are really expensive but they can last for along time and they are great for just about anything, which is why I began playing them. Fibracell stopped making the reed that worked best for me. Now I hear from Steve Cole that D'Addario makes a great synthetic; I'll be checking it out too. To really evaluate these cane reeds one needs to play on the whole box, in my opinion. The things that are important are: Can I pick any reed from the box and play on it; does it warp easy; do I have to work it a lot to get it to play; will there be any dead reeds in this pack? I would get a box of LaVoz med hard and work those down to med soft. D'Addario has filed these reeds already so one might just need to seal one or all of them. So far, these seem to be good reeds. The 3 med, seem to be a solid medium. Back in the day, 3 meant medium but now you have 3 soft, med, and hard and I don't have any idea how that works. And the problem is reeds are expensive and nobody wants to by $150 dollars worth of reeds just to find the right strength. D'Addario I hear has a strength chart that should help you out. Again I would have to play on every reed in the pack to really be able to give a qualified review but I can't do that right now. All I can say is They look and feel and play like a quality reed and even though they are filed you can still work them if you know what you're doing. I haven't had one warp on me yet and I hope I never do. we'll see

Not the best for me...
These reeds play a little thin for me compared to other comparable reeds. However, they are of nice quality. Saxophone reeds are a very personal choice and the person and the instrument make a huge difference. (I'm an average player who has played for about 40 years. I tested these on a 1921 Conn Tenor). There is nothing wrong with the quality of the reeds, they just didn't work for me/my instrument. So if you like the idea of an Organic reed, try them, you might have very different results.

Crisp and Versatile, to jazz up your playing
I recently had the opportunity to try out the D'Addario Organic Select Jazz Sax Reeds, and I must say they have left a positive impression on me. Both the bari sax reeds in 2m and tenor sax reeds in 3m provided a clean and crisp sound. The reeds were well-trimmed and featured a the logo and reed weight smartly printed on the body of the reed. While the individual packaging was nice, I did notice that it didn't offer the same level of protection as the plastic slip covers that other reeds provide. However, this didn't significantly affect my overall experience with the reeds. As a first-time user of filed reeds, I noticed a noticeable difference compared to the smooth Rico reeds I had used before. The filed reeds provided improved traction when tonging notes, which I found quite appealing. Overall, my experience with the D'Addario Organic Select Jazz Sax Reeds was favorable, and I consider them to be a good value. I would definitely continue using these reeds for their quality and versatility. Note: The mention of the "organic" feature seems more like a playful remark rather than a substantial factor in the review.

Beautiful bright tone, well made
Just to give an idea of my experience for this review, I have played saxophone for close to 20 years at this point and did study it in college but did not continue to play at a professional level and today I would consider myself a hobbyist. These reeds have a delightful response and really sing with a clear and bright (but still full) tone. All of the reeds in my box look very well made, but I have only used two of them for any significant length of time so far. I had never used D'Addario reeds before and while I've played a lot of jazz it was never my strongest genre but some of that has come down to frustration with getting the kind of sound I want from my horn. My Selmer has a pretty rich and dark tone so it just hasn't been a great match without the right mouthpiece and reeds to brighten it up and I'm finding these fit that role well. I'm excited to keep playing with them!

Nice Sound & Quality. Organic Reeds Are Cool!
I got these 5 Tenor Sax jazz reeds “Filed” in size “3 Medium.” How cool to finally start seeing organic reeds after all these years. These are right up my alley as someone who avoids contaminants as much as possible. Each reed is individually packaged in a plastic wrap that must be torn open. Inside, each reed lies in a durable, paper sleeve. All of the reeds I received look excellent and crisp. My chops are a little out of shape, so I was hoping for moderate reeds to work with, and I figured the 3Ms would do. Of the ones I’ve broken in, I find them comfortable to play, and I’m pleased with the sound they produce, so while these are quite pricey, I still recommend them to anyone who prioritizes using organic products.

The Select Jazz performed well on my Tenor
D'Addario Organic Select Jazz Filed Tenor Saxophone Reeds Presentation: D’Addario is a major reed distributor, and these are packaged and presented as such. The reeds are in individual cardboard sleeves and overall sealed in plastic wrapping. Reed Appearance and Condition: Overall cut, filing and condition of reeds are great, and as to be expected from a major reed distributor. Playability: I normally play a Rico Plasticover 3.5 on Tenor Sax and the Select Jazz 3M were too soft. Although the reeds were a little soft, they responded well from the Bottom to the Altissimo registers. Conclusion: Reeds are very subjective, some require a little work and preparing to bring them to perfection. The Select Jazz performed well on my Tenor setup and would be a good choice to rotate in with my usual brand.

Caja en mal estado
La caja de cartón donde vienen las cañas ha llegado doblada y abierta. Por suerte, las cañas del interior estaban bien. Pienso que sería necesario un cambio en el tipo de embalaje que se usa para según que productos.

Reliable reeds, dark sounding
Compared to my usual Marca and Legere, these reeds are a bit darker sounding. However, I have learned that the same reed can sound very different when played by different people, so it is well possible that they can be made to sound brighter witht he right tecnique. The quality is good, I found them all (of three I tried) good out of the box, after soaking them briefly, and similar sounding. Each reed is packaged individually, which produces a bit more waste but also protects them for long term storage. They are a bit expensive perhaps and personally I prefer my Legere signature, but more experienced players might get more projection with these. I think they are more rigid than any other I used, which makes it easier to get long steady notes (not something always asosciated with Jazz, more like classical, but again, probably it is the way I play).

🎷 Good quality organic reeds. Play smoothly and easily 🎷✅
You receive 5 reeds in this simply presented - but nicely printed - card box. Each reed has a card cover and the only gripe I have with this pack (particularly given the organic credentials) is that each reed comes in a cellophane packet! Come on D'Addario, if you're going to package an organic product, go the whole mile and make the packaging 100% recyclable too! The reeds themselves are pre-filed and great quality, particularly as they're not the most expensive (I've purchased worse for far more money). They don't take much wear in time and play pretty smoothly and evenly. The bases are a good size and shape and contact the ligature well. Very nice, no grumbles at all.

Smooth, dark sound
All five reeds in the box were playable!! They produced a smooth, dark sound compared to my usual Vandorens or my Legere.
