I love our American Standard toliet, but I hated the cheap plastic shiny silver handle that came with it. I have been looking for a new handle with a finish that matches the brushed bronze of our sink faucets and towel bars. I found this universal handle and I'm so happy. I didn't expect it to be as nice as it is for the price. Like other reviews says, it feels solid and heavy, very stable and has good spring back after the flush. It was so easy to install and adjust it to fit our toilet. I think it truly is universal because of how it is designed. You can adjust two points on the arm. The finish looks great too. I like the color of the brushed brass. It's not too yellow and was a close enough match to the finish of our faucets that it looks natural in our bathroom. It was such a small change but it makes a big difference. Our bathroom looks classier and feels more cohesive.

The old flush handle had seen better days. My wife picked this item based on quality, price, function, looks and reviews. I ordered and it came the next day. Easy and intuitive instructions made installation a breeze. This works perfectly. So perfect, I ordered another one another bathroom toilet that was not up to par. Thanks again for a great product.

This product is well designed and the parts are high quality. The handle is all metal and well finished (Chrome). This replaced an 1984 American Standard handle and lever on a Plebe model toilet. The part of the handle that goes into the toilet has a square shape that perfectly fit into the toilet handle cutout. Many replacement flush handles do not match the older American Standard toilets like this one did. The lever arm has a variable geometry design (lateral and vertical) which made installation extremely easy and took only 15 minutes. The lever arm is plastic and will not experience material failure due to corrosion from water (like Zamac). Read the installation directions completely to familiarize yourself with how it works, before an you install. It is a very unique and practical design like no others. In summary, this may be the ultimate handle and flushing lever on the market today. Highly recommended.

These replacement handles are excellent. Not only do they look good, the use is simple and works every time. There is no sticking of the handles or delayed flush.

This is a well engineered product. Easy to install and fit to many different toilets. It also seems durable. I am a landlord who would not needlessly spend extra on something like this, but I pay extra because it does the job reliably and even I can install it in short order.

Very pretty, seems sturdy

We did a facelift on our guest bathroom and changed out the finishes from brushed nickel to brushed gold. I didn't think about the toilet handle until my husband suggested we should change it. I did a quick search and found this handle. It was easy to install and works perfectly. I think it elevated the whole room by adding this finishing touch. It seems to be of good quality and should last even with daily use.

Got this to replace the Kohler San Souci chrome lever, which is also metal and not bad but I wanted something to match my brushed brass fixtures. This gold color matches well, it is not gaudy and the handle is metal. Install is easy once you realize that the red holding clips can be installed along with the entire assembly "upside down" from how it seems to work, in order to get the plastic flushing lever that attaches to the chain to sit behind the toilet's flushing hardware in the tank. I first tried to install per the directions with the flush lever attached to the bowl and then the long black plastic lever attached to that, and then connect the chain to the black lever, BUT, in the upside down position of that lever, attaching the chain is difficult. I pulled the entire inside assembly off the toilet lever instead and pried the metal clips for the chain into a more open position. Then with the black lever loose, I was able to install the chain all the way up to the closest position to the toilet flushing lever, rather than on the other end by the toilet tank mechanism, and that rectified the loose jangly chain issue inside the tank. I then installed it back on the flushing lever and placed in the red clip to hold it there and was done. So add needle nose pliers to pry the chain connection open to get around the black plastic internal lever piece and you will have an easy time of putting it together. Nice solid flush now. PS: I had to reorder this initially because the first shipped lever had a tiny spot on the front where the brass coating was missing and silver was visible beneath it. It was a tiny tiny spot but I worried it would grow over time, or possibly rust, so I swapped it out for a new lever and that second one was installed and is working great. Recommend for sure, it is as nice as my Delta lever in my other bathroom that cost three times as much.
