Avia Storm Women’s Running Shoes with Lightweight Breathable Mesh - Pink, Black, Purple or Blue

When I first put these on, I was amazed at how wide they are. I've never had a pair of wide shoes that truly felt wide enough for my feet, but these have soooo my toe room! I usually wear new shoes two days, then add insoles once the foamy insole has smushed down a bit. These are the first shoes I've had in YEARS that already have enough arch support! I wore them to work everyday for two weeks, no foot pain.After two weeks, I noticed the insoles had formed a perfect impression of my heel and toes. I don't normally use foam insoles, so I didn't think that seemed weird or bad or anything.... until my little toe started to rub. It was like it was down in that impression, rubbing back and forth nonstop all day. Suddenly these shoes intensely hurt. Tried adding gel insoles on top. Tried taking out the foam insole. Tried wrapping my toe with moleskin.... nothing helps. These shoes are rather suddenly unbearable. Very disappointing. I developed a huge blister from these shoes.I think something about the way they are shaped makes me walk differently, because I put my old shoes back on, even with the blister, they don't hurt. There's no pressure on my little toe with my old shoes. Not sure what the issue is, but these shoes don't work for me anymore.

I usually wear a 10 Wide and ordered these in that size; I have noticed that, either my feet are growing, shoes seem to be getting smaller. I wanted to order a 1/2 size up, but Amazon didn't have them so I ordered 'the usual.' When I got them, I found that my big toe(s) almost touches the end of the shoed. I was going to return them before I tried walking in them, but I'm glad I didn't. When I'm walking the 'toe issue' isn't really an issue at all and these shoes are actually quite comfortable. I would still order a 1/2 size larger if I got a second pair in a different color, but these worked for me in the end.

I tend to be pretty picky when it comes to my running shoes, so I was skeptical to order these at such a low price. I was pleasantly surprised by the below features:- Great arch support- Plenty of cushion- Roomy toe box- Perfect fit for the size. I'm a true 6.5, and it feels like these were made for my feet- Dark colored midsole and outsole (I hate shoes with white details as they look dirty so quickly. These are perfect!)I wore these on a hiking trip to the Pacific Northwest and was surprised by how well they held up on the trails, beach, and rocky terrain. I wish they had a little more grip/traction to them, but they technically are not trail running shoes, so in light of that, they held up well when put to the test on terrain they weren't necessarily designed for.I couldn't be happier, especially for the price! I own Brooks, Rykas, and other well-known brands, and these are honestly right up there in quality.

I bought these shoes primarily for walking, and they were an excellent choice for me. I ordered up 1/2 a size since I plan on wearing these with a medium to heavy sock this winter. They make my feet feel so good. I have a severe case of arthritis in one of my big toes, but these shoes are perfect for it because the material is sorta stretchy and moves with your feet. I can't say anything about the lack of grip some people have mentioned since I haven't walked on wet pavement or anything slippery. All I can attest to is they feel great for walking--extremely comfortable.

Shoe runs narrow. Recommend 1/2 size up. Not lightweight and in fact, very rigid. Requires break-in period.

You know that you have bought the right pair of shoes when you can log 6 miles per day at Universal Studios and have no pain. I have 3 pairs of Avia sneakers and enjoy wearing them much more than my Brooks.
