Does this have a setting to run the fan continuosly?

You can run the fan for the LG 5,800 BTU Window Air Conditioner, Model # LW6023R continuously in Fan Mode, but the compressor does not run. You can use the Fan Speed button to set fan speed to High, Medium or Low. In this mode, you cannot adjust the set temperature. The fan will also run continuously in Cool Mode where you can use the Temp ▲▼ buttons to set your desired room temperature and use the Fan Speed button to set your desired fan circulation speed. It's only in Energy Saver Mode that the compressor and fan turn off when the set temperature is achieved. and the approximately every 3 minutes, the fan turns on to allow the unit sensor to accurately determine if more cooling is needed...^Ivan

How quiet is this unit? I know it says 52 db but that is often not a good indicator.

You will need to lookup decibel charts online that have decibel ratings for common sounds that you are familiar with to assess for yourself if 52 dBA is quiet or loud to you. As we mentioned previously, the perception of how loud or how quiet a product is, is subjective to the listener...^Ivan
