Do the stainless steel straws have a larger diameter to use with milkshakes or frozen margaritas?

However, we do provide a wider mouth opening on our cups that can accommodate these types of drinks. We highly recommend that you try drinking directly from the cup by opening the lid. Doesn't having a plastic top defeat the whole purpose of insulated sidewalls? I don't get it.

So far, no it doesn't. The plastic is thick enough that it helps keep the colder air from the ice and/or liquids in. I think also the shape of the tumbler helps as well. Even with the plastic lid my tumbler keeps ice for up to 10 hours.
