This book is a strong reference to have as an ESL teacher, providing relevant and practical information for teaching English learners.

My wife, is it immigrant and it's Learning English. She goes to college every night on her computer. I bought this book for her. When we got married and it is outstanding recommended.She loves this book

I am actually a native American English speaker, but I tutor non-English speakers trying to learn the language. I got these books to use as a resource for my students, and I think they are very useful for that purpose. I am not sure they would work for an adult BEGINNER without a teacher, since they are written in English. Thus, one would need at least rudimentary knowledge of English to even read the lessons. So, my assessment is: useful for guided instruction or as an additional study resource, but I'm not sure they would work if you are truly a complete beginner learning on your own.

This book is both a thorough introduction to unique aspects of the English language and also a detailed blueprint for becoming a fluent interpreter and speaker of English.

We threw this book out in the trash can because Amazon wouldn’t take it back! It was a very useless confusing ESL book which my students and I couldn’t understand or make any sense out of it…..!!!! The directions didn’t make any sense; the practice drills were unrelated and impossible to understand by teachers or students of English, and nothing in the book made ANY sense…. It felt like some people tripping on drugs had come up with this shameful book!!!!!!!
