Painless, Simple to Use, Works for Sensitive Skin - Worth the Investment
Summary: Pros: The product is absolutely amazing! * Easy to Use * Quick and 99% painless (nothing horrible, see details for more info) * Effective * Very responsive * Easy to set up and hold * Pretty clear instructions and recommendations * Multiple Settings * Pretty Color and a nice box * Great for sensitive skin * Works in nearly ALL areas * Effective against somewhat coarse hair (such as leg hair) Down Sides: * May be somewhat time-consuming for people who may not have set times for skin care and have a busy life. * The light is BRIGHT!! You have to use the glasses provided or something darker, also don't have others in the room without eye protection as it can be seen across the room. * Somewhat noisy but it's not too bad. (A small "quiet" vacuum is about the sound level.) _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Detailed Review: I was on the fence about it, due to several reasons. For one, I have extremely sensitive skin to the point that I have to use specific soaps and products otherwise it breaks out or just tears. My skin is delicate but my hair is somewhat coarse, grows fast, and is stubborn. It was a pricy investment I wasn't sure would work. That being said, I went ahead and got it and I'm so glad I did. I do have a very hectic life and forget simple things often, so setting a schedule to use it has been my only real issue, which is on me not the product. Now, I have used it (so far) on my legs/thighs, somewhat bikini line, hands/wrist area, arms, underarms, and face. (Skip down to results if you don't have sensitive skin or concerns about how your skin will react...and feel lucky <3) ~*~ Products I have used Before ~*~ Just to give a thorough review (as I didn't see this in any other reviews) Previous products I have tried and how my body handled them: * Nair (regular, extra strength, sensitive skin, creams, foams, pretty much every variation) - Effect: Chemical burns even when using less than the recommended time, skin tearing, hair still very much present though a good bit was removed. Due to the chemical burns, I stopped using any of these. * Waxing creams, gels, strips - Effect: Skin tearing and extreme irritation. Sometimes hair was pretty much completely removed but at the cost of removing my skin as well. * Razers and a plethora of shaving creams/gels/ Pinterest and Tiktok recipes (I can't even cover all of them but nearly every Venus line, men's razors, and pretty much anything you can find at Walmart, especially the ones for sensitive skin) - Effects: Skin irritation, some tearing, breakouts, and hair the next day........ ~*~ Finally THIS Product Results ~*~ Again, I have a hectic schedule so I have not been able to use it as recommended, however, the little bit I have used has shown promise. My legs, wrist, and hands have spots or strips that don't grow as fast after 2-4 uses over the span of a month (definitely wayyyy less than recommended for results). I was worried about using it on my face and tried other parts first, so I have only used it on my face twice. This was actually the whole reason I bought it though, as I do not enjoy growing a ton of face hair and being a girl. It's life and natural, but I hate it and it really messes with my self-esteem (which is already pretty low). When using the product, some sensitive spots or spots may still have hair sometimes have a small pinprick sensation for a few seconds. This isn't even that bad, especially since with razors I have about 2 days of burning. I would recommend a non-scented lotion afterwards as your skin can feel a little off. I haven't done a round without the lotion to see if it would get worse. Again, the slight discomfort or off feeling is nowhere near the pain or irritation caused by other products. Overall, I love the product and would recommend it for people with sensitive skin, acne-prone skin, and even coarser hair.

Effective and surprisingly painless
I’ve been using the Ulike Air 3 IPL hair removal device for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed. The ice-cooling feature makes a big difference—it’s much more comfortable than I expected, even on sensitive areas. It’s easy to use, the auto-flash mode saves time, and I can do full-body sessions at home without any hassle. After a few sessions, I’ve already noticed slower hair growth and smoother skin. It feels like a professional-quality device at a fraction of the cost. Great option for both women and men.

Patience & Consistency!
I used for 6 months before giving a review because I wanted it to be honest and fair. If you have patience and stay consistent, following the instructions, this works! As they note, it does not work on light blonde hair so know that ahead of time. It is painless. Has 3 levels of intensity; I have only used level 1 “the gentle” option for my upper lip. But I use level 3 for both my armpits and bikini area. I am so happy with the results thus far! My bikini area has had the greatest results! But this has made shaving my armpits sooo much easier. I still use 1-2 times a week. My only complaint, is when you use the automatic flash on level 1 it goes fast, but on level 2 & 3 there is a delay between each auto/flash. It’s easy to clean and easy to use! Highly recommended if you’re thinking about it.

Those with Eczema, read on
Sorry for the novel. In short - What worked/works for ME is : - Level 3 for my legs and underarms. - Level 2 for my bikini line. - Level 2 for my face. - Shave THOUROUGHLY before using device or it is just wasting pulses and also a pulse over hair hurts. - Because I am trying to be a little less aggressive (eczema), I only do it 3x weekly so it is slower going. Long Version : It says in the instruction booklet that this is NOT recommended for people with eczema. Hmmm, well they don't say that anywhere else. I might not have bought this had they warned about that. That being said I bought this device because I have eczema on my legs and shaving is a HUGE problem for me. I can shave once a week at most and even then my legs still get pretty angry with me about it. I use to do home waxing which was better than shaving but my home wax was discontinued years ago. So I have mostly just been going around with hairy legs the past several years. And shaving on special occasions like a beach day or etc. This device requires shaving to use the device. I knew this going into it. I read all their instruction here on this page, on their actual website page AND the instruction booklets and I also read all the reviews. I found a big discrepancy between their instructions on their website vs their instruction booklet. One says to shave day of using the device, and one says to use the device the day after shaving. One says to do it every other day, the other says to use it no more than 3 times a week. I listened to the reviews and shaved day of using the device and did it 3 times a week. My results: I used it 3 times a week on the level 1 for the first week while testing the waters and my reactivity to it. Then used level 2 the second week to the fourth week. I did start to see some hair thinning and slower growth. At week four I decided to add in my underarms to my routine. I saw some growth slowing but that was it. Then I moved up to level 3 for my legs and underarms. IT takes a long time to do my legs, over 30 minutes for just my legs on level 3. And the device gets hot to hold. After using it 3 months I still had hair on my legs but it was less and much MUCH slower growing. At that point I went down to level 2 hoping to speed up the process a little. This was a MISTAKE for me. Level 2 just does not give me the results. Not on my legs or my underarms. Other areas I have been trying to use it, my chin, and my bikini line. Level 3 is too much for my bikini. but level 1 does nothing. I can use level 2 on my bikini and get results. It has been slow going. I only use level 1 on my face and chin, but honestly... I am not seeing result from it so I will be going to level 2. The device has not irritated my eczema at all. But the shaving sure can. I can only shave once a week (I've had this issue for decades). In the beginning I was shaving several times a week to use the device. That was making my eczema very angry so when I got to the point of slower growth where I only needed to shave once a week ... it was a YAY moment. Now ONE shave I can get three device uses out of before the stubble is too long. My underarms are mostly hairless but I have a few stubborn spots. My bikini line is ... better than it was but I am not consistent with it there. My chin is the same and I need to go up a level. Thus far this device has allowed me to feel feminine again and not like a wooly mammoth. I would very likely buy this again when this device stops working. It is my understanding that these devices only have so many workable pulses in them. So after a year or a few years of regular use I imagine it will become less effective and need replacing. But perhaps I'm wrong about this.

Impressive Long-Term Results
I’ve owned this Ulike Air 3 for about a year now, and it’s honestly one of the best beauty devices I’ve invested in. I saw great results after just the first three sessions, and since then, I only use it occasionally to maintain the smoothness. The difference has been noticeable and long-lasting. I have hidradenitis suppurativa, and surprisingly, the IPL light has been beneficial for my skin condition — it helped calm flare-ups and made the affected areas look much clearer over time. I’d still recommend talking to a dermatologist if you have skin concerns, but from my experience, it’s been very positive. The cooling feature is a must it makes the treatment nearly painless, and I can comfortably use it at the maximum intensity setting without irritation. It genuinely feels soothing on the skin, which makes the process way more pleasant compared to other IPL devices I’ve tried. The only thing to be careful about is pigmentation IPL can slightly affect darker areas, so it’s important to test a small patch first if you have uneven tone or tanned skin. Overall, this device has worked really well for me, and I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for an effective, at-home hair removal option that’s gentle, comfortable, and gives salon-quality results.

Does work, but set expectations low
I am at the 4 week mark. I've tried an at-home IPL device once before, and this one is better. So far I've tried upper lip, chin, and underarm. I can tell a slight difference - the hair is slower to grow in, and I think it is not as thick. The little *zap* is not painful, even on "power" mode. The window that the laser comes through is very small, so it takes me about 15 minutes just to do those small areas. I imagine a leg would take a solid 30 minutes. Their guarantee is for 6 weeks, which will not be enough time to tell if it is actually going to fully perform as advertised. So cheaper and easier than the salon, but you will still be doing the same shaving maintenance as before. Will update if it turns out to provide nearly-complete hair removal.

I genuinely can't believe it works...
Ok look...I am not a review writer. I normally enjoy success in silence. But THIS product deserves a review. If I can help just one person make an educated purchase, then I've done a small justice for the world. I had extremely low expectations. I've had professional laser hair removal for my face several times in the past. It was expensive. I think I spent a total of $1500 dollars on it and, yes it worked extremely well, but it was so painful for me. A little history: I have PCOS, but it manifests in a very atypical way. The only "textbook" symptom I have is excess facial hair. And let me tell you, it's very noticeable when left untreated. Well, unfortunately, I'm also someone that reacts horribly to laser hair removal. I legitimately have an allergic reaction to the laser. I get weird raised bumps and whiteheads and my face swells super bad. So, after doing it for about a year, I couldn't handle the pain and recovery anymore. When my face healed, my skin looked amazing. The blemishes from constant tweezing and picking even cleared up and I got so many compliments on my skin. But, as most may know, no hair removal is permanent and since I gave up on the laser hair removal, my hair slowly started to regrow in thickness. It's bound to happen since I have higher levels of testosterone. I had been pretty desperate for an alternative treatment. I had gone back to tweezing and shaving, but the hair grew back quickly and my skin was just getting damaged again. I did pretty extensive research and decided to take my chances on this device. I really didn't have anything to lose but a few hundred bucks. To my surprise, it worked. Now, I don't know if it worked well because of my history with laser hair removal and perhaps the follicle was already altered. I also went against all advice and for the first several weeks I used it almost every day on the highest setting. I do not recommend everyone do this, as I did this at my own risk, and I was well aware of the risk I was taking. But my threshold for pain is high and let me tell you this was nothing compared to the pain that I had felt with professional laser hair removal. I almost enjoy the slight popping sensation that it gives when in use. My only regret is that I didn't take before and after photos. I really wish I could show proof of efficacy. My advice is for anybody that uses this, be patient, the results are not instant but they are quick. I think I noticed a big difference within the first couple of weeks. Again, I took a risk and utilized it every day. I do not recommend that, but for me it worked and it didn't cause any complications. I am down to using it about every other day to every couple of days. I am now to the point where I am maybe tweezing one or two hairs on my chin and only shaving the days I use this device because shaving is a requirement prior to use. But if I didn't have to shave prior to using this device, I probably wouldn't at all because there's zero hair growth. I am not exaggerating at all. Beyond the couple of hairs that I'm tweezing here and there, I see no more hair growth. This is coming from somebody that was practically growing a beard. My facial hair has been my only real insecurity - because admittedly - I'm conventionally attractive, so I've been told. I'm in great physical shape, I have conventionally attractive features, so concealing this embarrassing issue has been quite the challenge. This honestly saved my life. I know that seems a bit dramatic, but I was feeling very hopeless in getting rid of the hair growing from my face until I stumbled across this. I am so much more confident now that I no longer even wear makeup to try to conceal the 5 o'clock shadow that I was experiencing towards the end of the day. I'm not guaranteeing that my results are the standard or that anyone else may experience similar results. For all I know I could be a huge exception or an anomaly. But I can say with full faith and confidence that this definitely helped me, and if you're in any type of position that I was in, you understand that feeling of hopelessness. If you're already at that point of hopelessness then what do you have to lose by trying it out?

Worked great on my legs and bikini line; didn’t work on my armpits and pubic area
It has been six weeks since I got the device and was using it religiously every other day. It indeed stays cold at all times and doesn’t hurt at all unless you miss a tiny hair somewhere so shave really thoroughly. It said that after 3 weeks 90% of the hair would be gone, well this is only when I barely started noticing the difference. I always used the power mode on legs. As of today, It’s been 10 days since I did the procedure last time on my legs and visually my legs are bold, but I can barely still feel some hairs on it which is fine. I did not expect 100% silky skin considering that I used to see and feel hoarse hair literally the next day after regular shaving. Great result here! Truly impressed! It also worked on my bikini line, the area that worried me the most (I’d always get immediate bad irritation after every time I shaved) however the pubic area doesn’t seem like worked at all. I also always used the power mode here. I expected to have just a couple of hairs left here and there like on my legs. Instead, I got only a couple of hairs missing when the whole situation stayed the same after six weeks, so no changes on my pubic area. I’m very happy that at least the bikini line doesn’t look irritated after shaving no more and hair noticeably slowed down growing and its quantity reduced so I’m grateful for that. My armpits also don’t seem like working. This is the only area that I used the body mode on since I was feeling the warm sensation when the pulse hit so I was afraid of going power mode over there. Even though the quantity of hair slightly reduced, it still grows back with the same speed. Also it said that you can do the whole body in about 15 minutes. Well only my armpits and bikini area were taking 10-15 minutes. Legs were taking me at least 45 mins and I mean just lower legs or just thighs. So if I were to do full legs it’d take me good an hour and a half. And meanwhile the device itself would get really hot (not the flash window tho, it’d still stay cold) so I’d have to put it away and let cool down for another 30 mins. So I chose to use the device on my lower legs and bikini in one procedure on one day and thighs and armpits procedure the next day. Each that procedure was taking me about an hour. So basically I was using the device every single day for an hour for the first entire month, which is a long time every day to dedicate, but I’m happy with the results on my legs and not very happy with the armpits and public area results. As of week 7 I continue doing my bikini/pubic and armpits every other day and really hope it finally works. I’m wondering how long I can safely use it on my skin every other day, but don’t think I will be exceeding two months of every other day usage. Bottom line: this device clearly works. I’m sure everybody’s complexity is different but this is what I got for $230 and to me the result is worth the price. However, if it still doesn’t work on the pubic area, guess I will have to commit to the salon treatment.

Realmente funciona o aparelho.

Semi-permanently/permanently removes hair without the cost of laser and pain of waxing
As someone who is very skeptical when it comes to home skin/hair treatments, I was initially doubtful that this Ulike IPL hair removal would produce significant results. To start with, I'm a guy with relatively thick, straight and black hair. My skin tone is on the lighter side, close to yellowish-white but more on the pale side. Given my doubts, I still tried it as the product description online showed a much more significant results for people of my skin and hair type. I've been using this IPL hair removal for around 7 months now and I'll just say---it works! Using it for the first time on any body part will sting a bit but not to the point that it hurts, just like a small pinch. The cooling technology drastically helps and allows for a relatively comfortable long duration of treatment. Since it comes with 3 power settings, try the 1st one first and see how your skin reacts to it. From my experience, the 1st and 2nd one were not that powerful so I skipped to the 3rd one immediately. For my routine, I used it 3 times a week, allowing for days between each usage, for about 2 months. After that period, I would notice a semi-permanent loss of hair growth and/or follicles in which I would either carry on with my routine or use only when hair starts to grow back. Before each treatment, I make sure to shave the area well to get a better result of the IPL targeting the hair follicles. During the treatment, I also go over the same part multiple times although this is not necessary. It has an automatic feature so you don't have to constantly click the button when going over large areas. So far, I've used this device on my face, chest and legs and have either permanently stifled hair growth or reduced the appearance and thickness of each hair strand to the point that they're barely visible. Make sure to wear the included protective glasses or close your eyes when using this IPL device. Even if the device is pointed away from your eyes, the residual light can still damage your eye sight. Overall, this Ulike IPL hair removal device is an amazing buy for any who would want to semi-permanently/permanently remove hair at home and at fraction of a cost of professional laser treatments and without the pain of waxing.

Great Results!
I used to think this product wouldn’t work but after trying it out for a few months, I can definitely confirm this product works! This device has officially changed my life, I no longer have to wax or shave as frequently. I notice a huge difference where my hair growth has been very slow and in some areas no hair has grown back. Another benefit to this product is there is no pain! Highly recommend if you’re wanting to try out laser at home. It’s easy, quick and it works!

Slows hair growth does not remove hair.
I purchased for myself and my husband. I have fair blond-light brown hair and he has more course black hair. For myself it slowed the hair growth but did not remove hair. For my husband it reduce the hair and slowed the hair growth but again did not remove hair entirely.
