This was the SECOND time we purchased this scooter. My 5 year old LOVES it so much, we purchased a second to send to grandma's house to keep there too! This scooter would be better if it folded for travel, but it doesn't. We had a 3 wheel toddler scooter and my son was getting too big for it, but he was not ready for a two wheel scooter requiring balancing skills. So this was the next step. The handles extend so this should take him through as many years as he continues to want to ride it. The scooter is very sturdy. Made of plastic, but hard and good quality. We keep it in the garage, but it has been accidentally left out in the elements (overnight and in rain), and if done a few times, no damage. The brake is slightly larger than a toddler scooter so it works well when he is going down hills. The foot board area is also slightly longer than a toddler scooter, so his feet can both fit on it (which no longer could on the toddler scooter). The wheels are a smooth plastic and work quite well on blacktops, sidewalks and in the street. The scooter can slip and slide a little on sand and mud, but that's to be expected and has not been an issue. My son is just starting to learn how to ride a bike. He has had zero interest in a bicycle because he can go so fast on the scooter and keep up with the other kids on bicycles. My son has had one incident going too fast down a hill where he had a difficult time coming to a full stop. However, the scooter never gave out. He kept trying and so did the scooter! Eventually right at the bottom of the hill, he got the scooter to stop at the last inch before the street, however he did go flying off it into the street (of course had his helmet on! Recommended at ALL TIMES)! Luckily other than a scraped knee and a bit scared, he and his scooter continued on...

This is a great scooter. Originally I didn’t wanna spend $180 or close to that on a scooter. But I could tell the difference btwn this and a generic one. My son could actually ride really fast on this - the wheels are made for outdoor. You can’t even tell that it’s being used or worn. Great and smooth ride. Love it for him! Been using it over a year now it’s awesome

My 6 year old loves it. We received a hand me down smaller scooter from a friend that she used from ages 4-6and we passed that on to yet another child. These are so sturdy and durable it’s amazing. It so well designed and engineered. It’s very stable, handles great. It’s super easy to put together, literally 2 minutes from box to being ridden.

Totally worth the price. These scooters are amazing. We bought the mini for our four year old. We live in the city and she uses it everyday. It’s easy to use and adjust. It is made incredibly well. We just purchased the larger version but only because she out grew the mini. Don’t waste your money on cheaper alternatives. It’s worth the cost.

We had the mini and now got the maxi as our daughter had grown. These are great quality, easy to set up and adjust, and easy to ride and brake, and are made of strong materials. I also appreciate that they are sturdy and light weight, and doesn’t get scratched so that we can hand them down to the younger kid.

Very well made scooter that rides smoothly for my 6 year old grandson.

This is a Christmas gift for the twins. The design fits them. It's easy to use. It folds for storage. It's a good product.
