He has also had 12 top 30 hits here in the singles charts with both In Your Eye and Give me the Night reaching, number 7. His peak period was from 1975 – 1986, when he was charting continuously all over the world. He has his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This man is truly one of the legends of Jazz/ R&B /Pop. He is still in great demand and you’ll have to cough up £50 for the cheapest tickets and double that for the front stalls at his concerts. It’s difficult to know what else to say about such a quality act, other than it impossible not to appreciate his music and to give it five stars. This is a lovely album to listen to.

This album sound is exactly the type of sound I wanted brings back memories of when I used to dance in the club's when I was younger, it's a good quality no fuss artist ( George Benson) and far as I remember Benson also does quite a lot of guitar duos ( jazzy blues ) which is also very good, a talented artist!

This is a case of knowing you are going to think Benson's 'Best' will be great before you've heard the first note. His album, although not exactly jazz in a pure sense, will be my feature on the next show. George is a great entertainer...it's as simple as that. Some of the best may be from the 80's, but there's no timeline cutoff for imminently listenable, toe-tapping music. Apart from that, it reminded me of sultry, erotic summer days on the boat....ahhhh. g
