A Fuji X shooter's dream!
I bought this as a bit of a test if I'm honest, as I wasn't sure how well it would work. The short version, if you can't be bothered to read the rest of my review is that this is the best photography purchase I've made in years.Over the last year or so I've gradually been investing more and more into the Fuji system for my wedding photography kit (coming from a very heavy Canon full frame system). I'm now in the process of selling all my Canon gear and going 100% Fuji, and this little device helped seal the deal.I've had hideous back and neck problems for years as a result of carrying heavy camera gear around and sitting in front of a computer for hours editing the shots, so I've been trying to do everything I can to sort the problem out. Moving to a Fuji system has helped (massively, actually) but I was still carrying two cameras around, one over each shoulder, for 12 hours at a time. Aside from the discomfort, it was also impractical having two cameras swinging around wildly.Enter the Black Widow holster!I have it clipped it to my belt (I didn't buy the Spider belt, I just used my normal leather belt) with my Fuji X-T1 slotted into it, with my X Pro2 on a strap over my shoulder. Initially it was a bit weird as my belt was a little loose, so I bought a cheap leather punch for about £3 off Amazon and got it just right. Now I have the perfect system.I was planning on using it with the X-T1 and a light prime lens attached, but this weekend I got caught in a pinch and had to holster the X-T1 whilst it had the fairly hefty 50-140 lens attached. To add extra potential for disaster, I had to run about 200 metres from my car to the wedding venue in absolutely biblical, sideways rain. If you can picture a scene from a Vietnam war film where a slightly overweight, injured soldier is desperately and embarrassingly running towards the Huey chopper which is preparing for flight, so he can get home to his family before being napalmed to death by friendly fire - you're in the ballpark. I arrived at the venue a drenched, sweaty mess, but my camera was where I left it.This thing is absolutely superb, and is way sturdier than I'd hoped for. I've just ordered a nifty little battery/memory card pouch with a belt loop, and with that I'm hoping I can pretty much keep everything I need to shoot a wedding on me, all day, without suffering acute spinal trauma. If you own a Fuji system (or any mirrorless system) - buy this. Don't bother getting the more expensive/heavy duty one, it's not necessary.

Good bit of kit, plastic lock feels a little flimsy.
It fits very well, and does the job. I'm using a Canon M50, and all over the packaging it says 'this is for entry level DSLR and point and click camera's'. I think that's about right, I'd need something perhaps all metal, or with a strap if the lens was large, or the camera was physically more substantial, but it works well for me.The lock itself feels a little flimsy when holding down to the release the camera. The plastic itself feels good quality, and very durable, but it doesn't feel like it 'sits' perfectly in position and can be wiggled a bit.It certainly frees your hands up, which is exactly what it's for, if someone was keen to steal your camera, they'd do it, so don't buy this for security alone. Would recommend, worth the price.

Just the job!
I have tried everything. Neoprene neck straps to shoulder straps and never felt totally comfortable. This lets me hang my camera by my side when not in use and I barely know it’s there! The safety catch gives me added reassurance that my camera is safe.Recently shot a wedding all day and this was just brilliant!Definitely recommend!

Amazing!!!
I had been using the Spider Pro for a year or so with no issues before moving over to mirror less cameras. I always shoot weddings with 2 cameras and prime lenses and found that straps are problematic. The Spider Pro was just too big for the smaller combo of mirror less and prime but I kept putting off buying the Black Widow as I couldn't see how a small plastic holder would be strong enough. However at the beginning of this years wedding season I bit the bullet and bought a pair. They are amazing, I use them on a standard leather belt (Instead of the ThinkTank padded belt I needed for their bigger brothers) and as long as you have the belt tight, your trousers will stay up where they are supposed to be.Using them is a love or hate experience, having your cameras on your hips does make you wider meaning there is a chance you can catch them on doors (or the back of peoples heads who are sat down) but if you take care you will have no problems. The pin supplied is solid and well made and comes with a couple of washers to ensure a tight fit no matter how deep your tripod threaded hole is.

One of the best photographic gadgets going
I bought the Black Widow Holster in preparation for a safari in Kenya where I wanted to use two cameras, a Canon 450D fitted with a 70-500 lens, and a Canon 350D fitted with a Canon standard lens. I used the latter camera with the Black Widow Holster. It was comfortable to waer and ensure that the camera was close at and and ready for action. It was also very useful to ensure that a cmaer awas close at hand to record the evening entertainment in lodge restaurants, etc.The only issue that I did have was that the plate that the mounting ball fits into is fitted to the tripod screw socket on the base of the camera. This in itself is not an issue, the issue is that this then obscures access to the battery compartment, necessaitating the removal of the plate in oder to change batteries. To do this you do need to ensure you have a suitable size screwdriver in your camera bag. However this is a very minor irritation when considering the product overall and I would thoroughly recommend it.
