There has been a groundswell of complaint that this diecast Ju88 is so small that it should have been produced in 1/72 not 1/144 scale. I disagree. Since most other Allied and Axis bombers in Amazon's repertoire are in 1/144 scale, this highlights the fact that the Ju88 (and other German bombers) were not strategic but tactical: they were minuscule relative to Lancasters, Flying Fortresses, etc. This also helps explain why London got off more lightly than Hamburg, say, or Dresden, and why British industry survived relatively unscathed. My gripe was about the accompaying bumph. It would have been better not to send it at all than to do so in Polish. I have not bothered to deduct a star, because none of Amercom's competitors bother to send any bumph at all. The pictures look good although the verbiage is almost entirely incomprehensible for me. Might Amercom send me an English version? An ending query: why doesn't Amazon list more Japanese WW2 bombers and other aircraft, at sensible prices, even if the accompanying verbiage is in Japanese? Japanese bombers also tended tactical: small, under-armoured and scantly armed. They must have been death traps, although they did commendably at Pearl Harbour and elsewhere, until the US got itself organised and all-but obliterated them. Some more competitor US aircraft would also not go amiss, again at sensible prices-- especially the Dauntless, the Devastator, the Corsair and Hellcat.

Good quality model
A nice model, more substantial than the recent Lancasters from the same company. The accompanying material was all in Polish, but fortunately that is not an issue in my household.

Needs to be 1:72 Scale!
Arrived on time and packaged well. This is tiny!! In reality this was a fairly small plane, so at 144x smaller, this is indeed small even for a model die-cast. Costly for what it is. Other than very small, this is a good representation of the Ju 88. Better to get 1:72 scale!
