These solar lights were easy and straightforward to set up.I have a few solar lights in my garden and around the house so am familiar with how they work and their effectiveness.One set of these lights has from time to time not triggered by motion and did not light up even though the sun has been shining. It seems to be an occasional glitch. Loose wire perhaps.The lights are expensive and don't quite have a long term feel about it. They are lightweight and for the moment so the job of lighting up the garden though I am unsure of long term efficacy. I will have to update after time has passed.The 5m cabling, while useful, is not needed in my situation and I just roll up the excess cabling and place the solar panel next to the lights.

We needed lights for outside the house, front and back, and thought I would try these. They came in a pack of 2 and were identical. The first thing I noticed was that the solar panel part of the light has a very long cable and is not attached to the actual lights. This is perfect because you can place the solar panel where it is best for daylight and place the lights wherever you want them.They were very easy to put up, instructions came in the box, and because there's no cabling, etc, it made these lights a super easy and convenient option. There are different settings that can be changed on a button on the back so you can select how bright you want them to be.Their motion sensor operated, too, which is great for the dog at night...she can finally see where shes walking. For the orientation, these are great quality and very fairly priced. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting an outside security light. Our garden and driveway feel so much more secure.

Finally some solar lights that can be placed away from the solar panel itself - particularly good for north facing aspects which are generally darker or even inside where power is not easily available. The wire length is 5m and there is a nice water proof screw on connection at the light end. There are 2 modes - motion detection which is bright and then dusk til dawn which isn't so much. I favour the first as this is my use case when passing into an area which needs additional light. The head itself has 3 panels of LEDS which can be angled as needed - a bit gimmicky but it might be useful in some circumstances. Both the light and the panel have the same style of bracket, whereby the bracket is mounted with the screws (supplied) and then the light or panel simply slid down into place. Light output is bright enough and battery life on the motion detection mode should be ample. At £50 for the pair they are pricey but the promotion shows 40% off which puts them back into the right price bracket when compared to similar products.

This security lighting is great if you want several areas lit up at the same time. You can move them around to suit the environment.Being rechargeable by solar panel, you can put them anywhere as long as the panel gets light and because it isn't attached by anything more than a cable it can be put up to 5m away.They were easy to install and seem to be able to stand up to our forever changing climate here in the UK.A great security light.
