I have two small dogs who come in the door on to this mat where they feet get cleaned by a towel before going into the house. The mat for some reason never shows the muck even though it is light green. Yes, there can be odd bits of grit or whatever left on it which vacuums right off and the rug still looks clean and new after four weeks. How good is that? I will definitely buy another just in case I can/t get one when this is no longer usable. I suspect that will be years ahead. Don't hesitate to buy one, I have owned several over the years, and this is simply the best.
