It does not shatter when you put your cold orange juice or tea from the refrigerator on your stone countertop. I keep several of them in my refrigerator door. Tea, Orange Juice, Cranberry Juice, Cucumber Water, Plain water etc. I love the tops. Easy to pour and more or less spill proof. Love the size it is just big enough for a large can of frozen OJ, Apple, or Cranberry Juice. On the other hand, the glass is quite thin. They easily break if you put them in the sink with dishes. They also easily break and do not get clean in the dishwasher.
