If like me you are having issues with the vct solenoid, it's best to change it before it becomes a bigger issue.This part worked well and is compatible with a 2007 mini cooper, i was having some intermittent issues where the car would cut off after around 20 minutes driving and throwing a code about the solenoid on bank one being the issue.The problem is usually bad oil, or not enough oil changes, but because the car is so old i decided to change the vct solenoid as well as a good oil change and oil filter.It's really easy to change, just make sure you have the correct one located in the engine bay and that the parts actually look similar enough, after that just unplug the original one and unscrew it out, place this one in straight out of the box as is. Simple as that.This has fixed my issue and so far it's working really well, no more cutting out and running poorly.

I've used this on an R56 Mini Cooper, where the solenoid had failed on the original, supplied with the seal fitted in a vacuum sealed bag this was ready to fit without worrying about contamination of the fine mesh filter sections, a direct hassle free fit made the job easy. Coil winding on the solenoid was had a resistance dead centre of spec on the example I used.Caution, if you find debris on the filters of the ones you are replacing then your engine has other damage that needs investigating.
