Worked for me!
I was restoring a delaminated carbon fiber roof on a BMW i3. I bought three cans of Car-Rep Epoxy in Jet Black Semigloss, knowing I was taking a chance even after reading some of these reviews. Also, I was using this product "Off-Label" by spraying over poured, sanded epoxy resin, not metal. I sprayed it in my garage where the temperature was about 78-85 degrees F. It was flawless. (Use a respirator, folks!) For my car roof, I got about two layers of coverage per can before running out and the third can was for touch-ups. I had no spitting or orange peel and even left it out in 100° F heat a day after letting it cure in the garage, with no bubbling or splitting of the paint. This epoxy paint saved me over $2000 by doing it myself, instead of taking it to a body shop, where they wanted to replace the roof. This DIY repair cost me the price of the liquid epoxy resin, plus these three cans of epoxy paint and my spare time. I might vinyl wrap the roof later, to jazz the car up a bit, but for now, this Car-Rep Epoxy Paint has done the trick. I like that it also says it's UV resistant, but time will tell if it holds up in the blazing Texas heat.

Ruined my prep work.
Would not recommend at all. I followed the instructions perfectly, and it still didn't work. Other poor reviews mention a bad spray nozzle and I ran into that issue as well. It spat out a sticky, foam like texture that ruined all my prep work. I cleaned the nozzle multiple times with paint thinner trying to get it to shoot anything, and it wouldn't. Waste of money because no returns allowed. Super frustrating. Will not ever purchase another product from Car-Rep or recommend.

Good paint, good customer service
Used this paint on a project and the paint is still strong after 3 years of use and I didn't use primer. Only prep with sandpaper. 1 of the can was bad and when I reached out to the company, they took care of me. Very satisfied.

Love this stuff
This is a game changer in my opinion! So much more durable than the OG spray cans. It lays down super smooth, looks great, and cures hard as a rock. Zero issues with spraying, but I did follow the directions and shook like crazy to mix the can.

Doesn't spray - nozzle clogs
tl;dr sucks but would buy again if the task was appropriate. After reading the reviews, I shook the can, vigorously, for well over 3 mins before even opening the can. Of course the nozzle clogged immediately. The nozzle needed to be cleared about a dozen times through the use of the can. I removed the cap then removed the yellow tip from the cap. I used a small wire to clear out the yellow tip. The black cap itself only clogged a couple of times Thankfully, I was only using this to touch up a truck frame. The paint is obviously good quality but I wouldn't try to paint anything with this paint that needed to look flawless. If I needed to cover more area than 1 can of this paint, I would definitely just buy 2k paint and use an hvlp.

Unusable Cans - Occasional failure to spray
General review of the product. I've purchased ~24 cans of this product over time. I love the concept of the product and have used many cans successfully to completion, even partially using a can and coming back to it later to finish using the complete contents of the can. However, I have 6 cans of CarRep primer-sealer all from the same batch which when brand new and shaken, sprayed for a few seconds and then clogged. This appears to be an internal clog, not the tip or connection to the can which I cleaned with acetone. Flip over and spray, they don't clear the clog. Another can from the batch works but the finish is gritty. I've had a two other cans from different batches that 1. clogged in the same manner after a few second and then clogged and 2. clogged after partial use of the can. Again, not the spray tip or the connection to the can as these were cleaned. I've twice contacted the manufacturer by email with no response.

Does have an expiration date.
Easy to use spray paint. I was under the assumption that it had no expiration date, however, it does. So far so good. I used a can of the paint over several days and had no problem after the initial use, unlike some other users. I’m very happy with the product and results.

Not good enough for the price unfortunately
First of all : Like it’s cheaper counterparts you buy from any auto parts store where you pay significantly less , the black color always have a dark brown tint at the end . I it doesn’t have that actual gloss black color without that ridiculous dark brown finish .. so if you want to match a black finish, you won’t be able to . Sprayer is sub par there are better ones which Seray much smoother for half the money ! Duplicolor professional automotive paint cans by far spray better. Very sorry but paint prices doubled in less than 2 years , plz don’t give me supply& demand crap . It is pure greed and nothing else . No matter how perfect the humidity and other controlled conditions such as dust etc it doesn’t leave a smooth surface .. even though surface prep was perfect by the book in the paint boot . You can’t claim to be better charge $26 per can and no better than a $15 can
