Little Red Riding Hood (My First Fairy Tales)

This version of Little Red Riding Hood is ideal for our three year old. After purchasing a set of Ladybird fairy tales we were disappointed that they all had gruesome endings, so I was looking for a version that didn't involve killing or slicing open the wolf! This version is a gentle version with lovely illustrations and our daughter loves it.

This version of Little Red Riding Hood is so fun to read! My kindergarten class loved the easy-to-follow (and not too scary!) story and the engaging pictures. I love the subtle humor and witty illustrations. A great introduction to classic fairy tales.

First up is the opportunity to claim ownership of your new book (image below refers), followed by the pretty end-papers that are replicated at the back. These are a montage of things that can be found in the story, offering scope for further discussion when exploring the large, bright illustrations that have meaningful facial expressions (especially the wolf)! The main text, which includes some speech, is a good size and 𝙚𝙣𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙙/𝙘𝙖𝙥𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙙 at times, for emphasis. The wolf’s speech is in a different font...but not all of the time...which is a shame, IMO. Chunkier words include: ~ fabulous ~ favourite ~ skipped ~ peeping ~ growled ~ gathering ~ squeaked ~ slammed ~ howled ~ horrid ~ terrible ~ scratchy ~ croaked ~ whispered ~ snarled ~ pounced ~ bellowed ~ terrified The publication ends with a page of all the other titles in the series, of which there are 20 (image below refers).

Good version of a classic

being a baby boomer myself,,, I turned on their music player and said play Lil red riding hood , but sam the sham and the pharos,, and that became my granddaughters GO TO song... she'd do the wolf so well, and dance with me all the time. So had to buy this book so she'd know the story behind the song.. She is young but so cute to dance with and read with...

Grandkids loves the movie and grandma loves to read to them perfect
