powerful, light midsize saw
Just got the saw today. Came fully assembled w scabbard. Put gas and bar oil in full choke, pumped primer a few times, and 2 pulls it was running. Have an 80' spruce to cut up this weekend so I wanted to test it out. It tore thru the 24" trunk w lot of power. I forgot that I was just testing it to see if it ran ok and sawed for half an hour. Very little vibration ond noise. Way more power than I thought a 40cc saw would have. I've used all kinds and sizes of saws for 50 years. Makes the poulans sears an echo's look stupid. I think it's probably the best mid size saw available. Don't really see any difference from Stihl in it's size range except cost. Didn't have tooless tensioner as advertised but I'm glad it doesn't. Our small stihls at work have them and they are plastic junk. Will post back after putting it to the test. Update. Been nearly 2 years and still holding up well. Still think it is a great saw. Have dropped many trees and cleaned up many bouts of storm damage. Have a 3 acre wooded lot so there's lots to do. A little cold blooded til it warms up. Start on fast idle works best if it's not hot. Clearly the best mid size saw I ever owned and would recommend it to anyone. With this much use w no problems I'm sure it will last many years. Update Nov 2021. Still running great. Been thru about 20 chains w each one sharpend several times. Bar showing a little wear so time to flip it over. Clearly best midsize saw I ever owned. It'll probably outlast me

Great product - cuts very well - easy to start
Once you learn the starting tricks (per the instructions - it is super easy to start. The model on Amazon (440e II) does not have no tool chain tension, but c'mon....it ain't that tough - and the the $, this is a fabulous unit. I like the easy to use fuel and oil caps. Overall, the power is great for a 16" bar and the weight is light enough to lug round the property. Great buy!

3 years in and still love it
I've had mine for almost three years and it has been used A LOT! Great machine, the only issue I have is a sensitive clutch that engages at idle when cold but I'm just careful before it's warmed up. Never used a pull start that works this consistently well. Super easy to clean after use and to service. I use a Jig (Timberline) to sharpen the chain because I can't hold a consistent angle manually yet with my file. Finally almost skilled enough for the Rancher 460 although I don't need more than a 16" bar often. I would not add a larger bar to this, the power is just right with the 16" IMO

Carburetor Adjustment
A great working chainsaw for in the yard on the homefront type setting. I have the 16" bar and I am satisfied. My biggest frustration was getting the carburetor in prime tuning. The manual stated the carb was set and ready to use at the factory, but it was not. I had a terrible time in the beginning to get it to start and once started, to idle properly. I adjusted the idler and the (L) (H) and I seem to have a proper idle and nicevtrigger response hitting my rpm. Not a big deal, but I was truly upset when all this was supposed to be done per the manual reading. Other than that, great chainsaw for the DIYer.

Great little saw
I've used this saw for over a year around my property and it's great. Easy to start, cuts really well, has very low vibration and its easy to maintain. Would definitely buy this Husqvarna chainsaw again.

Difficult to start, overheated on first trial, dealer refused warranty service
The media could not be loaded. ย I bought this chainsaw to keep roads clear around our farm. I tested it after I bought it and it was difficult to start, but it did finally start, I did a test cut, and it worked fine, so I declared success, shut it down and put it away.A month later, I needed it, and it would not start. Finally after almost an hour of fiddling with it, it started but quickly it overheated, smoke came out of it, and bar oil spilled out. I figured it was defective and in need of service. I contacted Husqvarna support, and they directed me to a dealer for repair, but when I got there, the dealer said he does not repair husqevarna, and directed me to another dealier. The other dealer kept hte saw for two weeks until I called. They told me they can't warrantee it, and I need to pay almost half the price of the saw to get it repaired. When I asked for my saw back, I received it in a bag. I asked for it to be put back together, and I was told there is service charge to put my saw back together the way I gave it to them, so I took it and left.So far, there is no peep from Husqvarna customer support, I most likely I will trash this and buy a Stihl, and chalk the entire matter to lessons learned. So the lessons are:1) Products are of poor quality2) Product support is non-existent (at least in my case)

Reliable and Light weight Chainsaw
I've had this chainsaw for two years now. It's held up to pruning back our overgrown apple orchard as well as felling trees. I like this size because it is not too big for me. I've never had to bring it in for repair and rely on it for weekend work when it's not too cold out.

powerful saw and easy to use
I needed a chain saw to cut firewood for my outdoor fire pit and trim branches/trees. . . I researched many saws and chose this one because of cost and power . . . this saw did not disappoint and I would recommend it to anyone
