Needed to do something about the belly and 'love-handles' that appeared over the past 2 years of lockdown! Was thinking of joining a local gym but... you know how that goes. So, decided to invest in these and build up towards my home gym. They were delivered in sturdy cardboard box which can be used to store them when not in use. But, for me, these will always be out on the floor. Otherwise, out of site, out of mind! I've had concrete-filled, plastic ones before but this time wanted cast iron ones which hopefully won't go rusty over time. The bars are chrome plated whilst the weights are finished in a hammered effect, dark-grey paint. Looks professionally finished and of high quality. Other reviewers commented that the screw-locks loosen during use, but I haven't had that problem. Really like the extension tube which converts the two dumbbells into one barbell. Not sure if I would trust loading the full 20kg with the extension bar, though. As well as bent-over-rows, bench presses and fore-arm curls it's possible to place the bar-bell on the floor, slip your toes under it and knock out a few sit-ups. The different weights are ideal for a beginner. Even the hand-bars alone, without any discs, are a good way to start, adding weights as you progress. I've used these daily for the past week and was ready to buy another set. There's always a 'however'. However, the price went up by £10 right after I got my first set. So, just waiting for the price to drop, or until I find another seller with a similar product and better offer. I will be buying another set, a folding bench, and a Straight / EZ Curl bar-bell, all available from the same manufacturer.

For the past 3-months, I've been "trying" to lose weight & get in shape, in fairness it's been going great. Now that I'd lost a fair bit, I felt now I needed to up my game (so to speak), and wanted something which wasn't going to cost me the earth (as it's still early days), did the usual research (thanks You-Tube lol), and set out my budget, and what I would need (to start off), saw a few items but this product seemed to stick out for me. It seemed to have decent reviews (setting aside complaints for broken or damaged items - it happens), plus thanks to the people here who took the time to provide photos too, I decided to take the plunge. All I can say is, I'm really glad I did. Really solid build, and the quality is good too, one of the things that "sold" it to me, was the middle "extended bar", which is a really good idea, but after about a week, I got tired of attaching/ removing this item, so decided to purchase some extra Pro-Iron (Cast Iron) Weight Plates, and a York Fitness Spinlock E-Z Curl Bar (5 kg) with Collars. So now I have a set of Dumbbells, and a Curl-bar. As said previously, all items are of great quality, and I've obviously bought more weights by the same reseller. Packaging for this item was really good, very compact and well protected, the box it came in is deceptively heavy (due to the small size) so much so the delivery guy asked how such a small item could be this heavy lol. Anyway, I'm starting to ramble now, all I can say is if you're in a similar situation as I was, and can't decide which Dumbell set to buy, you can't really go wrong with this, as I said I've had no problem with this, plus I bought some more weights, if I get to the stage where I move (to a larger place) then it might be that I consider looking at getting a multi-gym, but for now I'm stuck for space, and these do the job. :)

Brought for my son , the weights are solid and appear well made , good for starting out and enables him to cover lots of different exercises , the only reason this is a four star and not a five star is the extension to make a barbell , just doesn't seem long enough or feel right , as dumbbells these are solid and quality at a decent price range .

If you have used weights in a gym, you will find these weights perfectly familiar. The advantage is that you can vary the amount of weight on each short bar and even use the connecting tube in either of two ways to make them into one barbell. After a few weeks of lockdown, I intend to start with them at about 6kg each and slowly build up through the summer. Only really strong people who want much heavier weights will find them insufficient. They arrive in a small very solid box which is difficult to carry, both for the courier and then yourself, so you need to exercise caution. If you want to do exercises that require you to swing the weights repeatedly in a lengthwise direction or to twist them while swinging them, then you would probably be better off with fixed dumbbells rather than variable ones like these because with these the ring weights are held in place with a large nut that would work loose with those movements. These are suitable for traditional weight-lifting movements, but you can still find plenty of variety of those movements available. For me they are ideal, but lighter fixed weights would allow those HIIT kinds of exercises more easily. With gyms closed down, and then the issue of whether air-conditioning is safe when they open up, I think these are life-savers. My previous set lasted decades, but I kept them in the garage and they eventually rusted away. I expect these to outlive me by a long time. Also, they were delivered very promptly, ahead of the expected delivery date, by a very strong man who warned me from his van about how heavy the box was - very sensible. I am very glad to have them.

Lovely set of weights with nice option with bar extender. Was a little concerned as took longer to deliver than ‘next day’ but is 30kg so quite heavy. Better finish than York cast iron plates. You can buy more expensive sets but iron is very robust and if dropped doesn’t deform.

These are great, very good value for money, husband is delighted with them as they are very versatile, and very well made, solid 100% recommend, we use for home workouts

Kein Sand oder womöglich Wasser, wie bei so mancher "Plastikhantel"... Die Stangen, das Verbindungsstück und die "Sicherungsmuttern" sind verchromt. -= Langhantel =- Besonders praktisch ist das kleine Verbindungsstück, damit man eine Mini-Langhantel hat... Das eröffnet einem doch gleich weitere Möglichkeiten und man benötigt trotzdem nur sehr wenig Platz! Das war auch am Anfang unser eigentliches Kaufargument! -= Inhalt =- 20 Kg Hantel-Set bestehend aus - 4 x 2.5 Kg - 4 x 1.25 Kg - 4 x 0.5 Kg - 2 x Hantelstange - 1 x Verbindungsrohr - 4 x Spinlocks (große Muttern) -= Transport =- Der Karton kam leicht ramponiert bei uns an, aber sowohl die Scheiben als auch die Stangen waren in tadellosem Zustand! -= Qualität =- Der Lack der Hanteln wirkt, auf dem 2. Blick, nicht sehr professionell aufgetragen (an einigen Stellen optisch wahrnehmbar, wenn man genau hin guckt), aber bisher ist nichts abgesplittert oder womöglich am rosten... Die Hanteln wurden mehrfach lackiert! Wenn man mal vom diesem Schönheitsfehler absieht, sind es sehr gute Hanteln zu einem guten Preis! Bezahlt hatten wir übrigens ca. 50 Euro! -= Bewertung =- Von uns bekommen die Hanteln eine Kaufempfehlung von 93% was 5 von 5 Sternen entspricht!

Les haltères de musculation PROIRON sont vraiment très bien. La prise en main est confortable, les matériaux sont solides et la finition inspire confiance. Ils tiennent bien en main et ne glissent pas, même pendant une séance un peu intense. Disponibles en plusieurs poids, ils sont parfaits aussi bien pour un entraînement à domicile que pour compléter un programme en salle. Le design est simple mais efficace, et ils prennent peu de place pour le rangement. En résumé : des haltères robustes, pratiques et fiables, idéals pour progresser en musculation.
