In this contemporary action thriller, the famous symbologist Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia and finds himself the target of a manhunt. Langdon teams up with Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones), a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories. Together, they race across Europe and against the clock to stop a virus that would wipe out half of the world's population.

Didn't have same problems as in other reviews
Since other people have reported having problems with this set, I figured that I'd share my experience. I purchased from Amazon seller "amazingwildcat". Complaints that I have read have been that people have been unable to play the Blu-ray discs in their US Blu-ray players and that the digital copy codes are not redeemable in the US. I was buying for the 4K discs (which don't have any region codes). So these issues didn't concern me.Now to what I received. Although the description of this item is a "boxed set" of what appears to be the European version of these movies, that's not what I received. I received 3 individual movies in their own retail cases (not a problem, I actually prefer that). The discs that I received appear to be the US version, rather than the European version. I can't say whether the Blu-ray discs are region-free or not. However, I can say that the Blu-ray discs for all 3 movies played perfectly on my US coded Blu-ray player. With regard to the digital copies, the inserts containing the digital codes for all three movies said that the codes expire on 12/31/19 (2 years ago). However, when I went to the Sony URL provided and entered the code for the first movie, I was transferred over to Movies Anywhere where the code was instantly redeemed. I was able to redeem the code for the other two movies through Movies Anywhere as well. The only 'odd' thing about the discs that I bought was in "The DaVinci Code". Unlike the other two movies, this one contains two Blu-ray discs in addition to the 4K disc (the others just contain one Blu-ray disc). Rather than labeling these two discs something obvious like "Movie" & "Extras", they are just labeled Disc 2 & Disc 3 with no indication as to which disc contains the movie and which contains the extras. Logically, I figured that Disc 2 would contain the movie and disc 3 would contain the extras. I was wrong. While I can't speak for what you will receive if you purchase from a vendor other than "amazingwildcat", this is my experience when purchasing from this vendor.

Buyer Beware: Not for All Regions as Listed!
This is a great box set, but there is one major complaint. Though the listing clearly states the box set is for All Regions, when the set arrived, the second movie (Angels and Demons) showed a player code of B (for the UK area players), while the other two discs showed A, B, and C. The box as well as the disc of Angels and Demons clearly showed it was B only. I checked the listing carefully and saw the "All Regions" section, so I ordered it. If they'd had a photo of the back of the box, I could have seen the region codes and bought elsewhere. Now, I have to send the second movie back (to Canada, no less) for a partial refund. Buyer beware, THIS particular set is NOT for all regions.

service code area
Very disappointed that items are sold that are not compatible with US machinery. I have purchased many DVDs and have never had an error message for 'service code area' and found out the code must be UK. I'm not sure where to look to ensure this doesn't happen again when purchasing DVDs. I have now sent this back twice and am getting a refund this time.

OF MYSTERY AND INTRIGUE
The 4K upgrade of the trilogy is, overall, worth the investment. The visual definition/picture quality is often stunning.Directed by Ron Howard and based on the Dan Brown book of the same name in the Davinci Trilogy starring Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon a , a Harvard University professor of symbology. Whose skills of unlocking the meaning of symbols may save desperate situations. The DaVinci Code -I liked this film when first released, the extended cut does add a little more drama to the plot, many scenes including an extended insight into the 'scary blonde monk' 'Silas' ( played by 'Paul Bettany) were an addition to the theatrical version.I think if you don't take the 'code theory' too seriously the unfolding drama does work rather well, the search for the final resting place of 'Mary Magdeline' ( Jesus's wife ? a Da Vinci theory)'Robert Langdon' ( Tom Hanks ) an expert in the field of ancient symbols becomes embroiled with 'cryptologist' 'Sophie' ( Audrey Tauhou) in a murder investigation which put them on the trail to find the truth behind the 'bloodline' theory. The pair are chased and followed all the way from 'Paris' to 'London' and are helped by one of 'Robert's' old friends played by 'screen legend' 'Ian Mckellan' as 'Sir Leigh Teabing'( but who is he really ?)If the secret is uncovered it could shake the very foundations of the 'Catholic' Church, in fact given the chance they would destroy evidence ?So, can 'Robert' and 'Sophie' prevent evil intent ?My thoughts on the subject -When considered, in my opinion, all the mystery and codes invented from the writings of the unique Leonardo Da Vinci' can never be proved or dis-proved, why would he with all due respect between the years 1452-1519 have access to any more information in relation to the life of 'Jesus' than we have another 500 years down the line...............not a chance..........we will almost certainly never know the truth.....and that is maybe how it should be..........never-the-less the intrigue and questions do turn out a very watchable movie..........9/10Angels and Demons -A cannister of antimatter is stolen from Cern,...the four leading candidates to replace the Pope who had recently died are kidnapped, threats are made by someone claiming to be of the ancient order known as the Illuminati. Against the lives of those kidnapped and the added threat of the destruction of Vatican City.An envoy is sent to request the help of Robert Langdon to unlock the clues in the hope of saving the kidnapped Cardinals and indeed the City.Robert will have to work closely withFather Patrick McKenna, the Camerlengo who has taken charge at the Vatican along with the formidable Commander Maximilian Richter, head of the Swiss Guard. Played by Stellan Skarsgård if he is to gain access to the clues. The race is on, but who can Robert really trust? ...not everyone is as reliable as they would seem. Will after unlocking clues will Robert and those that are assisting be able to save the kidnapped Cardinals and indeed the Vatican itself with time running out?A fast-moving and exciting sequel to The Davinci Code. 8.7/10.INFERNO -In this 'Robert Langdon' awakes confused in an Italian hospital after incurring a head trauma injury, he has no ideahow he come to be there. In truth the symbologist was on the trail of clues tied to the great poet 'Dante' himself....however he has no memory of this.So why, whilst laying in a hospital bed has he suddenly become a target of a gunman escaping only with the help of youngdoctor 'Sienna Brooks' (Felicity Jones)With options of who to report the incident too, the couple find themselves on the run after discovering a plot to release adeadly virus upon the world....a plot to re-address the levels of human occupation dreamt up by geneticist 'Bernard Zobrist'(Ben Foster) who believed that the ever-increasing population of the planet would lead to the ultimate extinction of thehuman-race.....he has a hard-core following that will try to ensure that the virus is released as 'Zobrist' had wished.Trouble is...where is it?'Robert' and 'Sienna' become relentlessly pursued by those that want to ensure the plot is not foiled by 'Robert' who it's knowncan unlock the series of clues to the virus's whereabouts and those who simply want to get hold of the virus for personal-gain,holding the world to ransom.'Sienna' at first seems to have just got caught up in the chase by rescuing 'Robert' from an assassin's gun.....The clues will send them on a chase around several major cities before 'Robert' finally unravels the likely whereabouts of thevirus....It is only when meeting up again with 'Elizabeth Sinskey' (Sidse Babett Knudsen) head of the World Health Organisation doesevents leading up to his enforced hospital stay begin to make sense. Will the chase to prevent the release of the virus be successful or will this be the beginning of the end for billions of humans? An exciting and often tense story, very much in a similar mould to the first two films in the trilogy....well worth viewing in my opinion.Fast-moving, perhaps the weakest of the trilogy 8.5/10

4K quality so what do you expect.
Order just managed to arrive by the latest expected date. For myself I was a little late in collecting the parcel so have not yet had time to actually view the DVD`s and as I have just been watching them for more than the second time do not anticipate doing so shortly.

Amazing value very pleased with these
Excellent box set. Really pleased with this and the price! Get it while it’s still amazing value. I prefer Dan Brown’s books, but the movies are great especially with Tom Hanks who seems to play any role with superb talent and class.

Excellent value
For the price, this three film Blu-ray box set is excellent value for money. The films themselves are pure entertainment, with great acting, intriguing plots and enough twists to keep you watching to the end.

... given it 5 out of 5 but I was disappointed with the packaging
I would have given it 5 out of 5 but I was disappointed with the packaging; I'd purchased it, hoping to save space. Sets like this sometimes have all the discs in one cover but this had each film within its own case within the cardboard box - so no space saved.Films are brilliant.
