The Lord of the Rings Motion Picture Trilogy Theatrical Version 3 Disc Blu-ray

Absolutely brilliant. I could see into Gandalfs soul with the clarity.

What can I say? The best trilogy arguably(tied with star wars in my opinion) of our time on bluray with dts master audio. Sounds brilliant and looks brilliant. Can't really say anything that hasn't already been said :)

Did not realise it was the theatrical version, this plays in a small letterbox size not good but my fault for not checking the version.

Expected to receive all 3 films of The Lord of the Rings trilogy for a good price. Alas nobody bothered to check the case as it only contained one disc, Return of the King. Money refunded as item not as advertised.

Excellent version without all the hours of extras nobody has time to watch

One of the best films made

First of all I love these films and enough people have given reviews of them already without me throwing in my two penny's worth. My gripe and point of my review is with the picture quality of the 3 disc theatrical version set on blu ray.The colour to me looks a little washed out and when I've compared them to the extended DVD set I have, in my view the colour's better on the DVD set than the blu ray one. The colours seem much more vivid. (We have a 47" LG TV with Sony Cinema blu ray DVD and a 50" Panasonic with the same blu ray set up and in my view this applies on both TVs). A great price for a great trilogy but I'll probably invest in the extended blu ray set and hope the picture's better there. Hope this helps.
