Leaving paint or wax to dry in the bristles can make them stiff. Real-Life Use & Overall Impression I used the set on a small dresser and a side table with chalk paint + wax finish. The brushes performed well — the paint went on smooth, and the wax top-coat gave a nice, even finish. After finishing and cleaning the brushes carefully, they remained usable for a follow-up furniture project. Would I Recommend It / Buy Again Yes — if you want a dependable, affordable brush set for occasional furniture refinishing, small DIY projects, or first-time painting jobs, this set works well. Brushes are smaller and silkier than expected, however, they work great and the price is great as well. Great for crafters.

I do alot of furniture painting and with arthritis it get hard on hands. These are perfect for me. Easy to grasp and continue to hold. Very durable and able to reuse. Bristles do not fall off. EASY TO CLEAN Great price and quality

This set has been great to use. Very minimum shedding. Brushes are solid and durable. Easy to clean and work great with chalk paint and wax. Overall I would recommend this product as a great value for your money.

Nice set of paint brushes. They are great for chalk paint and redoing furniture. The bristles have the right amount of firmness yet they are soft for this kind of brush. They seem durable and I like the variety of sizes. With the different sizes it makes them versatile in what you can use them in. The detail of the brushes are satisfactory and I love the different options of use they provide with the different sizes. The only complaint I have and I have it about every brush like these is that they shed. These don’t seem to shed as much as others I’ve bought but none the less they still do. I can’t say whether or not the shedding stops because I haven’t used them more than a couple of times. I’m hoping it lessens and that they hold up over time. I would buy again because they are great brushes besides the shedding and that happens but you can’t beat the price.

Good deal, nice brushes

I don’t write many reviews, however I had to leave one for these brushes! I’ve done quite a bit of staining over the years and generally use a rag type application and or a black sponge brush to smooth out to avoid any lines. This project was a large bed set-large headboard, footboard and both side rails. They were in very bad shape. Sanded to the original cherry wood which was so beautiful!! It had to match the other 2 pieces….this was going to be fun lol…I started with the side rails then the back of the headboard to get an idea of how things were going to go. I did test runs but the wood wasn’t exactly the same. ANYWAY….Initially I started with the black sponge brushes. Bad idea. I was using oil based and I ended up with itty bitty black sponge pieces, like large black dust particles. Ugh. So I tried my chippie brushes. Not good either. So I decided to order these natural hair brushes. Holy cow they are fantastic!!! Great coverage, no overload on the ends or up on the edges like other applications. The stain smooths out so nicely with NO lines. So smooth!! I will never stain with any other brush!! The handle length was great for me since I have smaller hands, making it easier to maneuver. The bristles are soft and dense but not stiff at all, easy to get along the edges and in the corners. The different sizes are great giving a choice/versatility for any of my up and coming projects. I haven’t cleaned them yet but I expect that to be fine with the quality of everything else. There’s also a hole at the end of the handle, as well as a piece of leather/pleather to choose how to hang. I’m SO glad I chose these.

Picked these up for an emergency. Not sure where all these awesome reviews are coming from, but in my opinion, bogus. These brushes are terrible quality. Do not use if you are doing a high quality pc, bristles all over after literally one swipe. I tried to continue to use only to get extremely frustrated with them. If you actually finish furniture, stay away! Sorely disappointed.
