Works on long haired dogs but way to harsh for pugs and doesn't help with their shedding. If you own a pug get the King Zoom Goom, you won't regret it.

The brush is huge! I got it for my small breed dogs. Looks like a great brush though and nothing wrong with it as long as it's going to use it on a large or medium large dog. Was going to return it but I took too long so I gave it to my daughter who will soon be getting a big dog. It seems a lot smaller in the photo. I thought the descriptionsaid a small soft slicker brush maybe I was mistaken?

Everyone who has a dog with feathering on the ears knows mats are a pain! I was using a different slicker brush on my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and even daily grooming wouldn’t keep the mats out. (She loves to roll around which means her ears are constantly tangled.) I ordered this brush and it’s a lifesaver! Now, with daily brushing, she has no more mats in her ears. It’s very prickly but as long as you use it gently it shouldn’t make your dog uncomfortable. The only thing I wish was different about this brush is that it’s a bit difficult to clean out since it doesn’t have a button you can press to remove the hair, but for $5, it’s totally worth it! My dog hates being brushed with this. She is a short hair girl...ridgeback mix and loathes being brushed by this one...must aggitate her skin. But the brush is good quality.

I have given many of these brushes to new pet owners. I have three or four for my cats in different rooms for quick touch ups. The Persian cats are addicted to their grooming brushes. Great design. Easy on their tender skin but removes gobs of fur. Great and necessary product.

Like everyone else who ordered this recently, they sent a white and blue one unlike the photo. I don't mind though. Bought it to use on a sherpa fleece blanket. Watch out for some bristles along the edges that might break off. 2 fell off after some constant brushing. Overall, not bad.

Good choice if like myself you have arthritis of similar conditions as it's more ergonomic than other grooming slicker brushes.Works well on my standard poodle with little exertion but great results

Fine for the cats (they're not huge fans however!) though I did underestimate how big the brush would be - probably not suitable for small cats (definitely not for kittens!). Very sturdy and easy to clean the hairs out.
