We bought two to cover double leg casts. They go on like bags and the tighter top fixes around the thigh. It meant that bathtime was possible and made a huge difference. Easy to get on and off, and keeps water off the casts. It's a rubber material about the same thickness of a rubber glove, and the design of the neck meant it hugged her skin close, but didnt dig in.My daughter had quite a big dressing on her foot and this fit over easily.
