If I place them on a counter without a dispenser, would I be able to take one sheet up at a time without additional sheets dragging with it?

We use them in a small basket on the counter with minimal issues

What are the dimensions when folded? Will they fit in a decorative napkin tray on vanity instead of the more expensive Guest towels?

Some reviews say these have chemicals on them. Is this true?

I bought it because was chemical free but note its thin not like your normal roll paper towels but it worked for me only thing I ran out now have to reorder
