The SATA power limit hasn't been an issue even up to running 5090s - big GPUs generally draw most of what they need straight from the PSU rather than through the PCIe slot. Knocked off a star because the power connectors are flimsy, even considering the low cost. They're just held in place by the solder pins and easy to snap off if the SATA connector is stiff or if they get knocked about in shipping. There should really be adhesive or a couple of M3 bolts on there for mechanical strength. They seem to work well with x4x4x4x4 bifurcation adapters on CPU-direct PCIe lanes, and hit gen 4.0 speeds no problem with high quality oculink cables. The PCIe speed needs to be set to 4.0 specifically in the BIOS (or 3.0 if you're still having issues), our systems won't boot at all if it's left on auto but are totally solid when set manually.
