This tool has saved me multiple times in my gardening journey. I was able to see just why my plants weren’t growing the way they were supposed to and when I added worm tea to the garden, I was able to tell that the problem was on it’s way to getting fixed. I am a plant lover. This tool is very very helpful to see when to water my indoor plants. Otherwise it's hard to find out, did I over watered or less water to the plant. Every house must have this . I bought this 3 or 4 years ago. Never have any issues. So it last long.

I'm very new to owning houseplants, I tried my hand at it back in college and it did not go well. I bought this to help me keep an eye on the soil conditions, as I feel that my previous failures have mostly stemmed from underwatering and lack of fertilizer/nutrients. After experimenting the moisture, nutrient and pH functions of the meter appear to work very well. I will still likely use my finger to confirm the moisture readings as I know overwatering can be a common issue as well, and one of my plants already has root rot (came to me in this condition), but this meter definitely gives me some peace of mind to be more confident in my watering schedule than I would be by just feel alone. Paired with a plant care app on my phone (Plant Parent: Plant Care Guide) I think I'm getting the hang of things. My only complaint is that the light meter doesn't seem very precise (what are the numbers on the dial anyway, lux, foot candles? I can't tell) and I've only been able to get it to go from 0/dark in any type of indirect lighting to the max reading when moving it to direct light. I've never been able to get any readings in between. Fortunately there is a really good phone app that measures foot candles (Lux Light Meter Pro on Android) and some guides online (House Plant Journal) that tell you about how many ftc each plant species needs to survive or thrive so that has helped fill in where this device is deficient. It would be wonderful if the light sensor was more sensitive but for the price, I feel like this was still a pretty good deal and I'm glad I bought it.

Works great! I use calibration mixture any PH measurements are spot on. I really find it extremely helpful for moisture and light too.

Doesn’t work

I couldn't read my old meter because the meter and probe were in a straight line. The Sonkir bends on the probe so I can stick it in the ground and put the meter at a 90 degree angle to the probe so I can see the readings. Very nice. The 3 readings, light, moisture and pH seem accurate. Just what I need to keep my flowers happy and my hydrangea blue like I want it.

I like the way this measures everything; however I've found that the durability is not so great. I was measuring moisture and put it in the ground and the sensor broke.

Honestly I wasn’t expecting for it to be such a savior but I was very surprised once I unpackaged it and shoved it in one of my plants soil and right away it read. It was very cool how quick you can get different results with various plants but to be honest my favorite part after receiving this item was going around and telling everyone I know who loves to garden and showed them this. I was calling it a plant thermometer lol. I would love to get a box of these for all my plants! Works very very well for indoor plants as well as outdoors

Amazing tool! Our garlic started to turn yellow after winter. We feed it regularly, but still it did not help. Bought this, check soil. It turned out that soil PH was to low. Use it all garden now. So easy to use. A must have for every gardener,

I bought this "Sonkir 4-in-1 Soil Moisture Meter" almost a year ago and have been using it weekly (sometimes more frequently). Highly recommend this moisture meter - it's a fantastic tool that's saved me from overwatering my lovely plants!! 🪴 I wanted a "no-battery manually operated" meter such as this one (very convenient). I also noticed some of the 3-in-1 or 4-in-1 meters have two prongs instead of one prong like this - since two prongs make it more challenging putting it into your plant's soil without disrupting the plant's root system, opted for this meter and am super happy with it. I no longer have to stick my finger into the soil to check moisture levels and even better, this probe reaches quite deep since often the soil might seem dry at the top couple of inches while the soil is quite moist/wet when it's a few inches deep and you don't want to overwater your plant which can cause root rot 😕 I've also used the meter to check PH levels and light levels which is very handy.....admittedly, I'm not sure how accurate the meter is at determining nutrient levels since I did have one plant with slightly yellowing leaves and it ended up needing a bit of fertilizer (the nutrient meter reading didn't pick up that nutrients were lacking in the soil for that particular plant). In any case, I would repurchase this Sonkir moisture meter if I lost it and certainly recommend it!
