The media could not be loaded.  THE GOOD:1. It worked within 12 hours. This mouse was chewing on a paper towel roll in my shop several nights in a row. Tried 4 different wooden spring-loaded Victor traps baited with cheese and he never touched any one of them. So, I ordered these and got him the first night.2. Easy to use as long as you don't trap yourself! They are sticky. You can see from the video that (unfortunately), the mouse is still alive 12 hours later. While he can still move all 4 feet and raise his head, too much of his mass is in the glue for him to release himself. Even if he got up briefly, he'd walk into more glue. Now, I don't know about a larger mouse or rat. They might have the strength to pull themselves out. We'll see.THE BAD:1. Yeah, it's a mouse, but still kinda inhumane to see it struggle for hours through the night like the video shows. So, you either have to club it or drown it to take it out of its misery. Neither option is as good as a spring-loaded trap that kills them fairly quickly.2. Compared to a regular trap, they are on the expensive side and not reusable like a regular trap. But, if they do the job over a trap that won't, I guess they aren't that expensive.3. If you want to use them for several days hoping to get multiple mice, I think you'll experience an odor that would not be suitable for a home. So, really, they are a one-time use thing.4. I still wonder if it would trap a rat that might have the wit and strength to work out of it. But time will tell on that.But, at this point on mice, it's a 5-star product.

So far probably the most reliable trap I've used for the price I paid. If you know where they're coming from, leave the trap around that area, but in a spot where they'll walk on it and not get stuck on furniture or something. So far I've caught 3, one got away because it wriggled its way under the dishwasher and now there's a trap stuck under my dishwasher and a likely sticky mouse in my walls.But I can say they definitely work, and they work well.

I'm battling a plague of mice. These mice attracted snakes. The snakes follow the mice into the house, and there they are, in my kitchen. Please don't tell me how good innocent little snakes are. I am terrified of them. Right now I am doing battle with a 4-foot King snake. He's hunting mice. I'm hunting him.Mice are smart little devils. If you let them, they will destroy your house. Down through the years I have employed humane snap traps, and cats. Cats are the best as long as they are strictly indoor adventurers. I am between cats right now, and must resort to my own devices. Mice will avoid snap traps fairly quickly. I have had some success with green pellet poisons, but it takes awhile. Ultrasonics are not working for the mice. I am desperate because of the snake, so I have decided glue traps will help me solve my problems. Not the happy choice, but it's me or them.I chose this glue trap because it says it can catch snakes too. They are a decent size. They are two to a pack. They come folded over with the glue facing inward. There is a small plastic hinge which has always broken, but that's okay with me. Once you open the box, you have to place two traps or set up a sandwhich board style along your baseboards. They are easy to pry apart. They have little projections to keep them reasonably apart.The glue is very strong. I accidentally rolled an empty, large vitamin bottle onto the first one, and it wasn't going to come off, period. I had to leave it attached. There is not much of a glue free edge to them, so handle carefully.The first night I caught a full grown mouse. It was an awful experience. He couldn't get free. He already lived his best life in my kitchen. But, the next night, nothing. The mouse telegraph went around, and all the traps were avoided. I saw with my own eyes a mouse crawl upside down, like Tarzan, under the lip of the drainboard, in order to avoid walking on the trap. That's how smart they are.So, I had to bait my traps with some of the little green poison pellets, which mice love. Third night I caught two small mice on one trap. The next day, the snake came out. He didn't seem to notice those two mice, but went over to inspect the first mouse trap. He got caught in the glue.I admit that I was pleased as heck, what an enormous weight off my back, having caught that snake. The snake thrashed and tried to flee. Because this trap was up on my center island, he fell onto the floor behind a box. Not to worry. I didn't even look. I figured I would deal with it when the snake was tired. Well, do I have to tell you? Not only did the snake get loose, but it showed up crawling towards me. What a nightmare.I opened a larger, different brand of glue trap, just to see if it would hold the snake, if I ever catch it again. That trap just seems bigger, without any particular extra strength to the glue. I plan to mix up the brands of glue traps and just keep them deployed.So, I think that this brand of glue trap is fine for mice. I plan to bait mine, even though it says you don't have to do that. It is not strong enough to hold a young, healthy King snake, and probably not a garden snake. Maybe little, tiny brand new snakes, but not full grown ones, and certainly not the kind you see pictured on the box. Still, I feel safer with my ring of traps, and that counts for something. I would buy again.

These work!... even after being placed out 1 year before. Simple to use!

It works. although I would not rely on just the built in bait .I put some chex mix in the center of the trap. A half an hour later I hear screeching yep it was stuck and it was not happy. I would say with these traps you ought to get a plastic bag to put the rat and trap in. Seal it up and get it out of the house. These traps work without poison but they are not for the squeamish.Tell your kids do not get near the trap or put it where the little kids cant get to it.
