This little bell has a loud bright sound. The workmanship and quality are great. We tried it on our puppy’s collar. I have to give this 5 stars, even though the sound was ultimately too loud for our tiny house.

The media could not be loaded.  Bought this bell as a gift for my mother-in-law's new, tiny puppy so she wouldn't be stepped on. It's sturdily made with a great sound! Since there are other pets in the house we wanted to be sure that the object inside the bell would have no way of falling out. Since the slit at the bottom of the bell is small unlike other bells we had looked at, the object inside will not be dislodged. The bell is beautifully handcrafted and has a pleasant and loud ring. It came nicely packaged and we are happy to support an American family business. You will love this quality workmanship and sound of this bell!

Works great on my dog as we hike a lot and she gets in too much trouble with her hunting prowess. the sound is nice and lite, not too loud, just enough.

Very loud but very well made. I don't mind the loudness, as it lets me know where my sneaky cat is.

I ordered three bells for the three cats. But I found out that bells can alert not only the birds but the coyotes, too. I live in the Pinon/Juniper forests of Santa Fe, NM, and we do have coyotes at our fence line almost every day. The cats are good about staying inside the fence, however, sometimes they go out into the driveway, and a bell tells the coyotes who is outside the fence. So, I took the bells off and am looking for another way to use them.They have a nice crisp ring.

One of our cats is determined to get outside (she used to be allowed outside). Every time she would go out, she would kill something: bird, chipmunk, dragonfly (LOL). I like to feed the birds and was feeling like I was baiting them. We bought this bell at the beginning of the summer and I think she has only gotten out twice. We hear her running for the door and can stop her now. And the times she has gotten out, there were no casualties! Yay! The two times she got out is because she figured out how to run along under the dog and go out with him. She's a brat!The bell has held up well. The finish has become dull but that's to be expected with metal. It still jingles and is pretty loud, which is what we wanted. The cat hated it at first, but she's gotten used to it.

The smallest one they offer is good enough to use in a large dog. The photos cannot depict the actual size. If purchasing for a cat or small dog, don't bother unless you want to hang an anchor around their neck. Aside from that though the quality was nice and they are really loud.

Outstanding quality, pleasant ring and rings with the most stealthy and graceful cat movement! Now I need to find an escape proof collar to go with it.
