Brilliant Mobile Phone
I was faced with having to pay ยฃ120 to replace my 3 year old Samsung S20 FE battery or change phone for a new one. Decided after looking at lots of different models to choose the Honor Magic 5 lite especially as it was on a prime deal. Loved the lightweight feel, the great colour, the fact its almost as good at everything than my Samsung was, apart from I would say a slightly less good camera system, it's such good value. Don't be put off by stories about Chinese government links, its got Google inbuilt as they have decided its now a safe phone, not like Huawei phones. The day after installing everything the android OS m updated to latest Honor skin version magic 7 which is android 13 effectively not 12. I sold my old Samsung for ยฃ50 as battery needed replacing which as I said would cost a buyer but everything worked. That meant I only paid ยฃ175 for my new Honor magic 5 lite. At that price it is excellent value, and performs as good as phones 3 times that price eg my old Samsung is still around ยฃ500. Dont hesitate, a great buy.

JUST BUY IT!!
This mobile looks and acts like a flagship phone but at a quarter of the price! It does everything and the display is unbelievable. Battery life insane. 3 days if used for day to day stuff. I bought it based on loads of reviews and you definitely won't be disappointed! Emerald green is lush. 6.7" screen. Your gran could set this thing up! Sound quality really decent given no stereo speakers. Highly recommended. Absolutely no need to spend upwards of ยฃ1k with this thing.

Very good for the price
I had a Huawei Mate 30 pro and loved that phone but the battery died. I replaced it myself but 2 years later it started playing up and only lasting a few hours. I couldn't be bothered to take the phone apart again and didn't want to spend a fortune so bought this one. It's a nice phone, very responsive with a good clear screen. It's longer than my Mate 30 which makes it difficult sometimes to put in my jeans pocket but they all seem to be going that way. All in all I'm happy with it. Still preferred my old phone though, and the updated version of Android on this is a pain with having to swipe all over the place, that's not the phones fault though. I'm happy with the phone for the price I paid.

Good phone for my parent
Good phone has everything you need a phone for daily use, mid-range, 8GB+5GB ram, 256gb memory, good processor snapdragons 695. Compare to my parent old phone, the new phone is over 100% better their old phone They have, old phone was under 100 euro with 2GB Ram, 32gb memory. I bought 2 of them for my parent, first was on near the end of June for mum and mid of August somewhere around there for dad. The reason I bought the phone was because my mum was jealous of me buy stuff for myself on Amazon, she complained to me that she needed a new phone cause she wanted to picture, we were going holiday on 6th July so I did a bit of research on phone plus a week before I bought my second new phone for myself. With all the research I done, I decided to buy this phone for her. I waited 4,5,? Days before telling her and she complained again that I didn't let her choose the phone she wanted, to which I said I don't care and she respond saying cancel the phone and I said no. If you don't want the phone than I'm giving to dad to which she want it. Two months later I saw the phone on deal 80-90 euro off then I bought it again for my dad, he also needed a new phone because I saw mum was using the phone daily and she was happy.

Very good
I was a bit apprehensive about going for this brand, but to be fair I have used a Honor before without any issues. I was after a curved phone to replace my Motorola edge 2021, so this ticked the boxes. It's fast, sleek, feels premium, battery life is excellent, it has a dual SIM that works perfectly, unfortunately the Motorola doesn't allow you to use a SIM for data and a different one for calls, something I was after (49p per month 50GB data SIM From Lebara for 7 months) the camera looks very good, the zoom function is not as good as the Motorola but it's fine. I bought this from Amazon warehouse for ยฃ133 which was a bargain.

buyer beware
Superficially, an attractive slim phone, in enticing colour. The "smart" bit works well. The camera functions as it should, good internet connections, sound colours. Visually a smart phone. However, the "phone" aspect was a disaster. I could phone out, but incoming calls were irregular. Sometimes you could receive them, other times no. Plus, you didn't get a warning that you had missed a call. Not acceptable when the phone only has 2 functions, phoning out and phoning in. Incoming calls were consistently inconsistent. We tried everything, changing SIMs, spent ages with BT tecchies. Honor customer services were anything but. No service. They said I could have it repaired. I replied a new phone shouldn't need repairing. I had lost confidence in the brand and I wanted my money back - not a replacement or a repair. Amazon Customer Services were brilliant and I received the refund via their good offices.

Great phone
This is a fabulous phone. I've had it for over a year now, and the battery still lasts me well into three days.

Has a great screen. Lacks everywhere else.
Cons: 1. The speaker is low even at high volume. Sound quality is flat and you'll find yourself cranking it to max. 2. The video quality is great but the sound is absolutely dire and sounds terrible with ANY other sounds going on in the background even if you're point blank with your subject. 3. No power management? OpenVPN destroys the battery on this thing in Power saver mode, meanwhile on my Moto one vision i can leave it in powersaving mode and still wake up to a phone with charge. Pros: 1. The screen. 2. Snappy OS. 3. "Swipe on edge to go back" gestures are better than always reaching for the back button in the corner. 4. The Picture quality is better than Motorolas camera. Motorola has pretty lackluster cameras so one up from 4/10 isn't exactly great. I'd look at the ยฃ300 POCO F5 pro/X5 phones before even considering this handset. Budget 5G Samsung phones lack the OLED screen but don't have the cons of the Honor 5 Lite. This phone can't compare to the features of my Motorola One Vision, its got a superior speaker, power management that doesn't lose 40% of its battery over night, pure android, and video recording in 4k. The Magic 5 lite is a downgrade that came with 5G and a very nice screen. Not a ยฃ200+ phone. I Gave Honor a try and it's not for me.
