I will never use another pick.
The best pick! I have been playing for 30+ years and these picks have been a revolution. I will never use another pick.

Jim Dunlop jazz lll plectrum
Jim Dunlop jazz lll pick certainly is a quality product I have trusted in their products for years, so much hype has been penned about this product, I felt compelled to try some, while it can be seen to improve picking accuracy, and defines lead runs with impressive clarity, I personally prefer a softer pick which to me allows a easier dynamic all round style and feel, sure to suit some, but I think staying with the Jim Dunlop usa nylon 0.46 allows me more dynamics.

Jim Dunlop Red Nylon Jazz III Pick
Like everything else in life, the choice of pick, strings, strap, guitar etc are all down to ones personal preference. On the internet some people (nerds) go to great lengths raving on about how they can play a gazillion notes a second and wear these picks down to a nub in one session blah blah. Yeah right, and I taught Hendrix all he knew. Suffice to say that I have used these for a month now with a lot of playing with hardly any noticeable wear. I don't find them slippery to hold as I find the raised script sufficient but if I did need more grip (e.g. in a really hot venue) a quick rub over the holding surface with some sandpaper would probably do the trick. It didn't take long to get used to the smaller size or the greater thickness than I've been used to and yes with practice picking has become more accurate. I hesitate to say quicker because that again is down to the individual. These picks have a little bit of flex to them, not much, but enough if you don't want a rigid pick. I also bought some Ultex Jazz III picks which I also like very much and are very hard wearing too. They are a different material (very hard plastic) and have virtually no flex. They area slightly transparent straw colour and will get lost more easily if dropped but it helps keep JD in business. Hope this helps.

Best pick for speed
If someone would have told me I'd be useing these tiny little pick years ago I would have laughed. After inadvertantly useing one a while back I realized that once I had got over the feel of it - it really speeded up my single note picking and increased accuracy. I always have a few of these and the Ultex 111's in my pocket now, the Ultex is my favorite all round pick, but if I'm going to burn up the frettboard it's got to be the little red baby.

once used, always used
we came to this pick via Joe Bonamassa, - my son who is the guitarist here was advised by his tutor to find a smaller pick than the "standard" but had not located one after shopping around. - Then Joe threw his out into the crowd at the end of a gig and my son picked it up, took it home and used it... A bit of research and we discovered what Joe's signature pick is, - the one we had was not called a Jazz III but had Joe's name on it. These picks are small but work very well, - they are small enough to flick between strings easily, - they are small enough to hook up into your finger for non pick work. Now the real Joe one is tucked away in his memorabilia collection alongside the signed band set list, - and we have many spare Jazz III's around the house!

Preferred upgrade when upgrading from flimsy plectrums
These are my favourite picks and my students love them too whenever I recommend them. They usually prefer these thicker, smaller picks over thinner larger ones, which often offer less control and precision while playing. Smaller picks tend to give you more control and produce a better tone, making your guitar playing feel smoother and more expressive.

Popular pick for shredders and speed pickers. I can see why. Once you get used to them, after a few minutes it makes conventional picks feel like a sheet of 4x8 plywood. So articulate. Not great for strumming though. At least I haven’t found out a way yet
