I’ve been using the Seventh Generation Dishwasher Detergent Powder for a while now and appreciate how simple and reliable it is. One of the reasons I chose this product is the ingredient philosophy. I try to be mindful about what we bring into our home, and it’s reassuring to use a detergent that avoids unnecessary additives while still doing the job well. The powder format is also something I’ve come to prefer. It’s easy to measure, lasts a long time, and avoids the plastic waste that comes with pods or pre-measured packs. I also like being able to adjust the amount slightly depending on the load. Most importantly, it cleans dishes thoroughly. Glassware, plates, and everyday cookware come out clear without residue or heavy fragrance. Overall, it’s a dependable, straightforward dishwasher detergent that aligns well with a more low-waste, simple household routine. I plan to keep it as our regular option.

We absolutely love this dishwater detergent! We don’t have any water spots on our stainless steel pots and pains, and very few on our plastics! This is a reliable soap that cleans every item very well! There is no scent, which is great as the ingredients are much cleaner than traditional dish detergent. The soap is very finely ground, no large chunks that will be hard to dissolve, and we love that we control how much to put in!

First: 7th Gen. dish detergent (all formats) is among the best available, and a top contender in Eco-friendly offerings, especially considering it's moderate price. The boxed powder is my preferred option from 7th Gen. as it avoids issues with pods that don't dissolve as well as they age, and allows different amounts of detergent to be used depending on how dirty a load of dished might be. The rinse aid is also excellent, and doesn't leave a strong scent, despite being labelled as lemon scented. Depending on your water, dishwasher and how picky you are about glassware clarity, rinse aid is possibly the most important ingredient in getting truly clean dishes.

This detergent works great without using any harsh fragrances or chemicals! Only downside to it for me is the pour spout is tricky to deal with causing some to spill out outside of the detergent door while filling. Also it does have a bit of a smell to it that isn’t pleasant while pouring. But aside from that, the actual product cleans very well and have said goodbye to using pacs that would cause buildup in my cast iron pipes and cause the detergent door to open too early! Good value and better for the environment!

Good nontoxic detergent that actually gets the dishes clean! You definitely have to rinse dishes before putting them in the dishwasher but does a good job for the price too!

Good quality and worth the money.

I love that they have the option of a powder and NOT pods!! Pods have plastic in them and tons of harmful chemicals. I love this powder, that it’s fragrance free, and no plastic. It cleans great.
