I don't review much but let me tell you about this deck. This deck has some of the most stunning artwork I have ever seen, and it shuffles like whipped air, if there is such a thing - no joke! I love how it references various Major and Minor Arcana tarot cards and much to my surprise, it reads very similar to tarot. I found it to be more intuitive and accurate than other tarot and oracle decks that I own - which is rare for me with oracle cards. It is one of my newest, favorite, most powerful decks. I did an 'introduction reading', and it told the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth about a question I didn't even ask. I was like, "Exactly, thank you!" It just confirmed the same answer with other decks I'd read with, and there was no need to clarify. With the vibrant, detailed artwork, it makes me wonder what it would be like if it were an actual tarot deck because this one represents POC positively.

I ordered this deck knowing that they would be cool. I was looking for cards that called to ancestors for some time. I got what I paid for - love them! The focus on sankofa is very special and provides an air of depth. The recommendation in the beginning similar to her other cards is to get to know your cards one by one and for this deck, pull your anchor ancestor. My ancestor card was RIGHT ON - aligned to my lineage, my connection to my ancestors and to me. The cards have a through line to her other deck in a nice way - there is a connection to images and some of the ancestors that were chosen to be represented again in a different way. It does not feel repetitive - just familiar. Alignment to the Tarot and elements is cool. Opportunities to connect with the family line provides an opportunity to bridge other decks that I work with. I see this deck as a connector of story, family lines, and history. The cards are beautiful - little pieces of art on each one. Quality is good - cards are easy to shuffle and use. The sankofa symbols on the back of the cards creates unity. Excited to expand my practice a bit with these cards.

“Meeting” Abiola Abrams has radically changed me for the better and her uplifting energy and sage wisdom is channeled through her decks. Her first deck African Goddess Rising introduced me to a whole new aspect of Goddess energy which I LOVE and now this deck has ignited a real desire to work with my ancestors. The artwork is stunning and as a Tarot reader originally I love the overlap with the archetypes, this also makes the cards even more readable for me. I love the aspect of learning about other cultures and beliefs which I am Now intergrating into my own. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you are from Abiola’s channelled messages from the Goddess and now in this deck the Ancesters speak so clearly. I have about 200 decks but this one is already sat on my desk for daily use.
