Have not used long enough yet to truly give it 5 stars, but the texture is like water and it does slightly detangle. The benefit of rice water for the hair is a well-known and beneficial for stronger, denser hair overtime, so I’m optimistic this will work and it’s a huge bottle. Also, there is no scent which I think is great since it’s meant for scalp health as well.

Originally, when I was looking for a more health-conscious spray to assist me with moisturizing my chronically dry scalp, I came upon this brand. I will say that it does a well above average job of moisturizing my hair and scalp and leaves my hair in a healthy state after use as well, being as how this product is botanical. I was immensely satisfied with it, that I bought it a second time and even set up a subscription. My only criticism would be concerning the spray nozzle that the bottle came with the first shipment I received, however, that has since been addressed, I see. The first bottle's spray nozzle was way too intense and shot straight out in a line instead of a mist. It was too much of a challenge to apply, so I just put it in my own spray bottle. This second shipment I got today has a different spray head on it and it's a great improvement from the last design. Kudos.

Great for hair moisture and shine

Its been a week since I started using this and overall I love it so far. Too early to say if it will help to grow and thicken my Afro but it looks promising. One thing I notice is that it makes the hair more controllable and easier to comb. I also don't notice too much residue even with daily use without washing. I'd still use it every other day. I also do not notice itching so far. Other stuff I have used probably work but they come with lots of itching and white stuff which I do not like. As for the smell I think it all depends on the person. My kids notice it but I don't. Well maybe slightly. My only complaint so far is the bottle. The bottle is big enough but its not as ergonomic as I would like. I even consider pouring it in another smaller spray bottle. As a reminder its best to shake well before use and also massage the scalp after applying. Good luck.

This product keeps the hair moist

I purchased the rice water spray in the trial size bottle recently. I loved it, the results it had on my locs and my grandson’s hair was Amazing. It was very helpful, in aiding in detangling and helping me to comb through his thick hair. It moisturized my locs and gave them a vibrant shine that I never had before. Unfortunately, the larger bottle (16 oz) missed the mark. The quality is not the same. I am so disappointed. Not sure what happened, but I am going to purchase the smaller bottle once it’s available again.
