It may be loud in the video but while you’re cooking with food frying, tv on, kids talking you hardly hear it . I put it on right before I heat up the food leave it on for about 20 minutes after I’m done cleaning then shut it off - the smell of the food no longer travels to the bedrooms or the rest of the house truly filters the smell doesn’t go on my curtains or my hair doesn’t smell like food I’m impressed- I have it now for 2 months and sent this to all my friends and family that don’t have an overhead exhaust.

love this from my apartment. I also have cooking stuff, but I also have the fire alarm and everyone gets mad at me and so I bought this to try and stop the fire alarm going off and be getting mad at me and so yeah it worked and I use it every time I cook in my apartment because the ventilation is not good and it doesn’t have a vent hood or anything like that.

its a small, slightly noisy unit, but it actually seems to work as well or even better than the downdraft exhaust on my range. It did not appear to 'catch' and oil in the catch container, but it certainly sucked the steam/etc from frying into the unit, and was easy to take the filters out and clean after.

Did nothing to get rid of the smell but it did eliminate the smoke. I wouldn't recommend this product, not worth the price.

On high, it sucks up most of the bacon smoke from the fryer. Definitely makes a difference.

My condo has a kitchen that does not have a vent hood to the outside. I thought that using this product would prevent the smell of cooked food from going everywhere, but it does not. I have used it for several months now and I can without any doubt state that this fan does absolutely nothing to filter cooking smells from the kitchen. Into the garbage it goes.

En mi vivienda, la cocina no tiene campana extractora, por lo que al freir o cocinar era problema los vapores por que son respirados y pueden ser perjudiciales para el que cocina; su especificación dice "campana" pero no lo es un ventilador extractor el aire que pasa por él es filtrado y elimina malos olores por tener filtro de carbon; CIARRA ofrece una excelente solución para la cocina como este tipo de extractor; su eficiencia depende de lo cerca que esté de lo que se cocine, yo lo instalé muy cerca de la cocina (ver imagen)

Works great. My apartment smoke alarm is very sensitive and would go off everytime we cooked. This product helped solved that problem.
