Fits my v0101 commercial model after throughly cleaning the shaft with flat screw driver and light hammer. It was not difficult. It works like new with proper installation.

Easy to install. Fits very well on my vitamix.

I started a return and called Vitamix trying to find the correct part number for my machine (Vitamix 5300). Turned out I just needed to clean the melted plastic off the 1/4" square shaft on the machine for the new part to fit. So if it doesn't seem to fit try a sharp blade to scrape back down to the bare metal of the machines 1/4 square shaft. I will just note the OEM Vitamix parts have a phenolic/plastic square hole so if your blade jams it tears up this $10 piece instead of your $250 motor. This cheap replacement has a metal insert that might be more likely to cook your motor; a risk I'm willing to take with my 10 yr old Vitamix that has only just cooked this part for the first time.

Got the job done.

This item came as promised and on time, we had to find another Allen wrench to install, however, as it only came with the parts, not the wrench as pictured/described. Once we found one that fit it was fairly easy to install and now the blender is working again. I only gave 2 stars for installation because of the missing wrenches.

Poor quality control, if the centre metal gear is slightly off centre as mine was, when you turn on the blender, i rattles the whole blender really badly
