Wow, I had no idea VR could be this good!
Not gonna lie… this kinda blew me away the first time I used it. I may be a boomer age, I always thought VR was a 2D display, just closer to your eyes.I was not prepared for the experience.Clarity is not similar to my 4K tv, and to be honest I wasn’t expecting it to be the same. But what it lacks in clarity it makes up for easily in immersion. The hand grips are comfortable and like most big name products, fit/fitment is near perfect for both me and my spouse.Highly recommend this to open up your PS5 gaming experience!!

Watch out for Pickaxe trigger slip
Stunning visuals, Climbing with the pickaxe is so realistic, had to shut it off when I knew I was going to fall. Could not take it and I had fallen in the game before but...Also paper box seal was broken and I was worried the code had been looked at, but there is another sealed box inside, and a scratch off on the certificate that makes it not visible.

Before you waste $400 do yourself a favor and read this detailed review you can thank me afterwards!
I was so excited to finally own a PSVR2 set but boy was I ever let down. This is for me at least the biggest hyping up of a product that not only was it not worth it but I'd go as far as saying it was more of a letdown than the Sega Saturn was which is like the biggest bust of the console wars. I open the box and pull out an oversized loosely fitting so loosely I could see streams of light in the corners without any fix at all and the headset just kinda stretches like a rubber band around the back of your head a very old and worn out rubber band at that. I tried downloading the code for the game that comes with it for extra of course but kept getting error codes wrong code so didn't get to even try that. I then took all day to one at a time slowly charge each controller and come time to sync them it's another no go. They wouldn't freaking even turn on much less blink or show any signs of life even though I followed the directions to a T I never got em synced after 2 days and almost $400 gone I decided enough is enough after browsing the ridiculous excuse of a game library they have for it like every game that looked remotely cool was rated like 2.3 stars and I watched all the gameplay videos of the games that slightly interested me and after scrolling through maybe 120 I realized I might have watched 12 trailers and they all looked so fake and just had boxy graphics with chunky clunky gameplay just flat out disappointing is an understatement I was devastated after all the rave reviews this cheap feeling plastic clunky device with graphics on par with a Nintendo 64 is Sonys big achievement??? Well y'all I have to say it BIGGEST LET DOWN IN MY 30 YEARS OF GAMING! DO NOT BUY THIS OBSOLETE JUNK! There's only like 4 games in production right now and I say bury it now and let's just let Meta make our VR headsets from here on our. Lastly the one game I truly wanted to play bc it looked amazing was Resident Evil VII but guess I can try in another few years we are not there yet ladies and gentlemen! Oh and P.S. the "Big Screen" with the eye tracking and all that fancy 4K each eye blah blah was seriousy more like a 47 inch tv it's ok gets the job done but come on is it really a BIG SCREEN you could of had the 65 inch but noooo lol 😂

Mega gaming solution for immersive experience
Next level video game and digital entertainment. At first the headset takes some getting used to in terms of vertigo. Once you begin gameplay and immerse yourself in the content, it’s an entirely new gaming experience that has to be witnessed first hand. The device can get a bit warm and feel heavy over time but it’s really ally worth it.

cold temps
this is one of the best vr gaming sets that i saw the only thing to know about this vr set is that if its to cold it will turn off by itself as a safety feature other then that it is fun to play vr with.

Needs a Way to Charge Both Controllers Simultaneously and a Bluetooth Headset
First, I bought the PSVR2 because experiencing VR is on my bucket list. I already have a Playstation 5 and most of the reviews I've seen for this VR headset are largely positive, so it seemed like a good choice of hardware. Finally, both No Man's Sky and the two previous Horizon games are among my current favorites. The idea of playing 3-D versions of No Man's Sky and another Horizon game, plus the recently-discounted price tipped the balance for me.Putting the headset together was trivial, even for an old codger like me. I found that getting the focus adjusted is rather annoying, but I can't see any way around that. Several folks have suggested various setting changes for improvement, but I haven't tried any of them. I'm too busy playing at the moment and I can live with it as is. I read several comments stating that you can wear your glasses with it, no problem. I tried that a number of times - and it works - but I somehow ended up scratching one of the lenses of my eyeglasses in the process. Fortunately, I can't find any sign of damage to the headset itself. I find that I can see just as well without my glasses, so I now just remove them to play. Fair warning - this may be because I'm farsighted post-cataract surgery. Maybe if I were still nearsighted I couldn't use it without glasses. I just don't know.I'm not really fond of having to be "tethered" to the Playstation to play. I can easily foresee situations where pets or other people (or yourself, if you're playing standing) end up tripping over the cable between the headset and the Playstation, though it hasn't happed to me (yet). I guess the upside is that you supposedly get access to all of your games - even the regular 2D ones - without having to purchase another copy or license. I haven't tried this yet, as I'm currently too wrapped up in the 3D version of No Man's Sky. But assuming it's true, I imagine it could be quite helpful in reading game text in various lighting (like sunlight, for instance). Currently I often find myself having to adjust blinds or house lighting to be able to read text as I play various games. The headset just might be a solution, providing it works with them.Another thing I like about the headset is that you can play without turning on the TV at all, or while someone else is watching TV. That's nice, but I would highly recommend a pair of Bluetooth headphones to go with it if you do. The cheap little earplugs that come with it aren't that great, and having to listen to unrelated TV audio is distracting to say the least. The headset seems reasonably comfortable for extended wear I guess. I generally find I have to take a break from gaming to answer the phone or something before it starts feeling cumbersome. (Or just to get up and walk around after a couple hours of gaming.) Though I always feel like I'm wrestling with the hardware to get in or out of it, it does have one GREAT feature. There's a single button on the underside of the headset that suspends the game you're playing and allows you to see the room in front of you in black and white. It's a lifesaver when you want to put down or pick up your controllers or other things or stop to answer the door or something. However, I personally don't find the resulting black and white room image is clear enough to read a text or my watch, which is a bit of a bummer.I'm gradually warming up to the controllers. For me, muscle memory is a big part of gaming with a regular Playstation or Xbox controller. After playing for a bit, you no longer have to actually think about what button to press to make a certain thing happen in the game. You just decide what your next move should be, and your fingers seem to know exactly what to do to make it happen. So adjusting to the new-style controllers has been sort of a challenge for me. I'm still at the stage where I have to decide what move to make in the game, then remember which button or joystick on which controller will do what I want. I'm getting there, though. In a way it's sort of a fun challenge. I just hope I can master it before I get involved in heavy combat, or my avatar is not going to fare very well.By default your equipment is only designed to charge up one of the controllers at a time. (You get a single charging cable and there's only one USB port on the front of the Playstation.) To me, buying an add-on to store both controllers and allow them to both charge simultaneously (plus display when the are/aren't fully charged) is a no-brainer. It would really have been nice if such a device came with the package. Fortunately, they aren't that expensive.I can't really comment on the durability. I try to be careful with such things, and to my knowledge I haven't damaged any part of it thus far. Still, I'm pretty sure this isn't stuff you want to play too roughly with. All things considered, I'm having a blast with it and am glad I bought it. I am a little concerned about the durability of the equipment. Game availability should be an important consideration when purchasing. Sorry I can't give much of a review on the Horizon game. At this point I've only scratched the surface of the game opening. I can tell you that gameplay with those new controllers will likely be challenging, at least at first. But - from the little bit of the intro I've seen at this point - the graphics were quite stunning. And be aware that your character in the new 3D Horizon game is a male. I was initially uncomfortable having to play Aloy - the hero for the first two Horizon games - but now I really miss her and wish she was still my avatar for the new Horizon game. But I guess life is change and I'll adapt. One final comment. I've heard several complaints about some of the other VR hardware. Some folks report feeling nausea or getting headaches, dizziness and such. I always seem to sense a fleeting mild sense of dizziness and/or nausea when No Man's Sky enters the opening star field. But it is very mild and disappears quickly, and I've only experienced it on that specific opening sequence. Once I'm in the game I've not experienced any sort of headaches, nausea, dizziness or such.
