Works well . Needs a bit of retightening now and then. The tray section stays up! Like horizontal with quite a heavy load.

the 'official' solution is almost 3 times more expensive. So, I opted for this one... I actually ended up buying another. I wanted something to put food and things on when watching TV. For the most part, it works well. But... . It is going to be an issue on carpet. The base slides under the recliner feet on the side, leavin the outside of the feet just sitting on the floor. If it is on carpet, the stand will tilt inward causing the top to bounce. It is more sturdy on a hard floor. but still prone to vibration. It will also vibrate or bounce more if the screws are not really tightened during assembly. . The top is made to flip down (vertical), I am guessing to get it out of the way. Sounds good, but in practice it is very easy to flip whatever is on it off onto the floor. TO remedy this I utilized existing hole in the bracket to drill some small pilot holes and thread some screws into them. It doesn't fully stop the top from tilting but it does restrict it to a few degrees. So, it doesn't flip vertically to hide on teh side of the recliner, but that is not an issue for me nearly as much as it is having to deal with dinner on the floor for the dog to have. So, it is black. I am OK with that. Also, because my purpose leaves about 5 inches of post above exposed above the table top clamp, I found some drink holders that clamp onto round poles and attached one to the vertical post. It works for me. If I had $250 lus dollars for teh correct one, I'd prefer that one, but I didn't when I got these.

I wish the table was about 3 inches longer but it's really good. Everything is sturdy except maybe the clamp piece that supports the table. That seems like a standard item that goes on a big tripod though so probably can get a replacement through a photography supply if necessary. I've been looking for a table like this for 4+ years, which is why I'm giving it 5 stars. I'd give it 4 stars for the plastic clamp plus the short table if there was something to compare it against. Super sturdy. Not too terrible to assemble as as the table arm was pre-assembled. Have your own allen wrenches and screwdriver ready as the supplied ones are a bit small.

Both the table (once a screw is removed) and the arm rotate on a vertical axis. The arm also has joints that allow some articulation in the horizontal plane. The table tilts to all an angled work surface. All good stuff so far, but the problem is the last joint on the arm doesn't allow the table to tilt in the direction the table is rotated, so in most positions the table tilt feature is useless. I almost returned it because of that, but it looks like a file or a cut off blade might just be able to fix the problem with the last joint not being able to rotate. While I have not modified it yet, and although I'd prefer to be able to use the tilt feature, it is an otherwise we'll built contraption that was very easy to assemble.

Bought this for my son for Christmas. He was also dropping his mouse or keyboard while sitting in his recliner. No more! And no more searching for things. It's all at his fingertips. Great value, sturdy, good quality and just the right size and weight.

I have purchased many recliner tables in order to be able to easily work on my laptop while sitting on my recliner sectional. Most were not sturdy and were extremely unsightly. Then I saw this one and thought it would be perfect. Boy was I wrong. It was not stable at all, constantly moved anytime I reclined my seat, and would bend severely when I put my laptop on it. The worst part is that the table portion can pivot down if you put too much pressure on the left side. My guess is this feature is to make it easy to fold and store away, but with no way to secure the table to remain straight and flat at all times, it is a huge risk for anything that your put on it. This safety issue because very clear two nights ago when my 2yr old tried to type on my laptop causing the table to fold down. My laptop fell, my daughter fell. My laptop fell on my toes fracturing two of them, and worst, cut my daughter's leg and toe. If this table wasn't so flimsy and had a way to secure the table in place so that it cannot fold down, it would be much better. I am so upset by this design. It is going out to the trash today.

trying to get it to fit under a recliner. Wont work there. Tried it under my couch, same sloppy fit. Wont stay in place. The support lock already tore the cloth on the armrest of the recliner. Surface is extremely slippery so had to put non-skid cover on it. I have finally given up. I'd return it if i could, but too late.

Like others have reviewed, this is a great product that needs a tweek. This platform over time with weight on it such as laptop or tablet, will eventually give way and dump contents on ground. I have a small MacBook with small alloy stand but even that almost went over as the nut to tighten was maxed, and held for 6 months but loosened just enough. But the convenience of swinging in this with laptop, reviewing notes, what not in a professional setting has helped a lot! Just beware of this one flaw!

Ist gut zu montieren und schön stabil. Man muss nur beim schwenken aufpassen, da die seitliche Stabilität nicht sehr groß ist. ein extra Gewicht auf dem Hauptstandfuss ist da hilfreich.

Quality material. It tips side to side not front to back so it ends up not being an issue. Very impressed with the quality and robustness.

Good solid table with excellent rigidity and stability. I do wish it has an extra swivel, so I can read books without looking down, but otherwise, solid, sturdy, heavy quality, that easy enough to fold away and tucked it to the side of the chair, and extra swivel could have helped it be more flush. Works great with my ikea poang chair.

Very fast delivery by Amazon. The workstation table works great and was of high quality build standard. Easy to assemble and very stable table. For some wider recliners the table platform base extensions may not be long enough to allow the stand to clear the sides of the recliner and still fit under the recliner feet. Check your measurements before buying.

Easy to assemble and fit should come with a non slip mat because otherwise your stuff will fo flying off
