🔍 Discover the future of smart living!
The Aeotec Multisensor 6 is a versatile 6-in-1 Z-Wave Plus sensor that monitors motion, temperature, humidity, light, UV, and vibration. It features a sleek flush mount design, offers up to 2 years of battery life, and is compatible with various certified Z-Wave gateways, making it an essential addition to any smart home setup.

Works well
The sensor paired up with VERA home controller without any issues. I have been using Z Wave for less than a year and am very satisfied with the stability and feedback. The box contained the sensor, a ceiling Recessor (in wall/ceiling mount), a mounting arm (for surface mount), a double sided tape pad, and a USB cable. The sensor itself is small, roughly a 2" cube. Using the surface mount was expected to have a standoff of 2.5 to 3 inches. If I was in an apartment or renting, I may have opted for the surface mount.I wanted to minimize the visual impact of this so opted for the recessed mounting. We installed the sensor in the ceiling covering three doors. I found a drinking cup in the kitchen that is the rough size for use as a template. Then used a small saw to cut the hole. Your template should cover the inside ring on the Recessor, NOT the outside flange. The Recessor allows for a large margin for error in cutting the hole (~1/4 to 1/2 inch). The installation was easy and looks great.Apparently, this can operate on one or two batteries. It comes with one (as stated in the description). I have a couple of flashlights that use this battery so keep them around the house. Product literature indicates up to 24 months between battery changes with two batteries. I expect less than that because oft the way I am using it. Alternatively, you can power the sensor from a USB cable. I don't expect that most people have a USB power source near where you would want to install it though. After the first night, I discovered a piece of paper covering the sensor. This was an attempt to turn off the LED which was distracting. Every time motion is sensed, the LED turns on for a moment. It can be turned off by setting parameter 81 to '1' (disable). The LED will continue to function for other sensors (light, temp,...) though it does not appear as distracting since they are polled less frequently (I think).

It is easy to setup and seems to work well
First the sensor was easy to setup and it seems to work well.Negatives:1. It takes two batteries and they rate it at lasting two years on battery. They only ship it with a single battery. The documentation says it will operate with a single battery but at a reduced amount of time. So out of the box it will not operate for the two years promised.2. The in wall mount amounts to useless because once installed you cannot change the batteries without removing the mount which will likely damage the drywall.Overall the sensor worked and really that is what matters most.

Reliable. Flush mount is very nice.
No issues. Installed 1 outdoors in TN and 1 indoors. I have connected to SmartThings to automatically turn on lights. On both, there's about a 1 sec lag - a lag that didn't exist for the Samsung motion sensor (it's a shame Samsung can't built reliable sensors anymore - last one died in less than a year). The Aeotec sensor outside held up fine through 0 degree days. "high sensitivity" isn't that sensitive, but it suffices. Note that the Aeotec sensor comes with just 1 battery. It drained very fast on its own. I replaced with 2 Energizer lithium batteries, and they've been going strong all winter and on pace to last at least a year.

Excellent Multisensor
I currently have three of these. The batteries last for a good while. Though what I really love is their ability to be connected to USB for power. I haven't done any through testing for any of the sensors but they all seem to be within a good enough range for me to not need to. If I notice any of the sensors too far off I'll update the post but so far so good.

probably one of the better motion sensors
Good multisensor...maybe a bit too large.Battery life (even with double battery) is fair.Updates/z-wave polling seem to be slower than I would like which causes lag time when controlling motion events.

Much more than your simple smartthings sensor
Works exactly as expected and provides far more capabilities than say, the Samsung sensor. My only complaint is that it only comes with one battery instead of two (it holds two for maximum capacity).

Solid sensor
Perfect for a small bathroom. I mounted it on the ceiling and gives me accurate reporting. Hubitat driver allows for lots of controls and it does exactly like it’s suppose too. Aeotech is a solid brand

Great concept, horrible range
bought with intent of using 2 or 3 within my garage. mounted one up in the ceiling to test and I had to be right under it for it to detect, rendering it useless. my garage ceilings are 10ft tall, pretty standard height.
