Carnage: Four Horsemen, Book 1

Wow!
This story is unlike anything I’ve read before and it’s sooooooooo good! Scarlet has been held by her parents for 10 years after an accident where she was locked away to be ‘kept safe’. They tell her all about The Horsemen and how terrible they are and how she is to get their revenge! What happens when she starts working for them…not what you’d expect 😏 and it is 🔥 Drake, West, Francis, and Prescott put her through the ringer and maybe had a connection to her she doesn’t know about! I absolutely loved this book could not get enough it does end on a cliffhanger but trust me when I say you want more of these men! I cannot wait to continue this amazing series! Well written, awesome captivating story and super hot smut! Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

Enjoyed it!
I enjoyed this one! It took me a bit to get into it because I wasn't a fan of any of the guys at the beginning, but they definitely grew on me...for the most part. I didn't want to like Pres at first, but he actually became my favorite by the end! Drake was an instant favorite because of his gruff attitude. Francis was an on and off favorite: first because he was the most reserved and almost sweet, so I loved him, then he could be a bit of a jerk, which turned me off of him. West was an emotional rollercoaster; not for me, but for himself. And, while I liked him at times, overall, he was not my favorite. Scarlett was fantastic. I loved everything about her! Her personality, her innocence, her attitude and strength, and her need for protection.I am very interested to learn what actually happened all those years ago and how Scarlett got hurt. I'm interested to know what the overall plot is going to be, who her "parents" are, what the guys did all those years ago to p!ss them off enough to enact this revenge plot, and how it will all come together in the end!I enjoyed that ending bit! It was definitely unexpected, but also absolutely what I should have expected from them. I enjoyed that it ended on a cliffhanger. I look forward to seeing what happens next!

Dark and dangerous
Dark. Dirty. Dangerous. This book. THIS BOOK! Carnage left me speechless. Absolutely speechless. Carnage is a deliciously dark, scorching hot book. If you're easily triggered, this is not the book for you, I'll say that right up front. But if you like your book boyfriends broken, ones who talk a little dirty, maybe even a bit psychotic, you are in the right place. It's easily one of the sexist books I've read.Losing her memory at the age of 16 due to an accident, Scarlett has lived the intervening 10 years in the country home of her adoptive parents. Living is a relative term, as we come to find out she was more of a prisoner. To gain her freedom, she makes a deal with her adoptive father to ruin the Four Horsemen. To do this, she must take employment at the firm the four horsemen own. To win the moniker of the Four Horsemen, each man would have to be ruthless, cold, heartless, without conscience and brutal. Prescott, West, Francis and Drake are exactly that. To be atop the world of finance, they're always multiple steps ahead of the competition - and their enemies. That includes the plans of Scarlett and her stepfather. From there begins a dangerous game of secrets and deceit. And sex and games. Carnage lays the foundation for all that is to come in the next three titles. Though we don't know the reasons for Scarlett's revenge, or how her accident took place, we know it's the event that started this journey. This ends on a huge mind blowing, cliffhanger. It left me speechless. Sarah Bailey rocked my world with this book. If you like your reads very dark and sexy, filled with mind games, ones that leave you without words and wondering what the heck just happened, this is the book, and series, for you.

• reverse harem x four horsemen •
| dark romance | contemporary dark romance | four horsemen of the apocalypse | billionaire romance | reverse harem | why choose | numerous POV | trigger warnings | amnesia | mystery | intrigue | revenge plot | SPICY |Gun to my head? I didn’t hate it. Gun to my head? I didn’t love it. The FMC doesn’t remember anything about her life prior to the age of 16. I really like the male characters, I think theres a solid set up and some really critical character development. However, there is a ton of repetition. These four main male characters are essentially dark and depraved, they are successful finance guys who have earned their nicknames as the four horsemen. This idea, the literal explanation of the idea, is repeated numerous times. It seriously felt like every other chapter someone was re-explaining how they earned their nicknames.Repetitiveness aside, there are several times that something is almost said or shared, and the author intentionally cuts it off to keep the mystery alive regardless of perspective. It’s kind of annoying, but I am really intrigued by the mystery and it will keep me reading. The spice is great, but also, a little repetitive with the terms used. One specific term I don’t much care for is used repeatedly, but I digress. Overall, I really like the concept. I’m down for kinky, dark, and depraved especially concerning a why choose/reverse harem romance.Overall, I don’t adore these yet but I’m gonna keep reading because I need to unravel this mystery. Also, read the trigger warnings. This is a dark romance, so proceed with the understanding that there are mature and graphic themes/concepts some people may find uncomfortable or triggering.Happy Reading Friends xx

Ooo that ending though!
This book was fantastic to introduce the MCs and give you just a slight look at the backstory. I am definitely intrigued in what happened to Scarlett and what's going to happen to her.The ending was not at all what I would have expected and I am diving head first into book 2 now!

What. The EFF?!
Sarah, you shady woman! That cliffy is BRUTAL! I cannot believe you left us there!I loved the 4 horsemen and Scar. It was so easy to get drawn into this plot and stay invested in our characters.Sarah has drawn us this crazy premise where Scar knows our 4 horsemen from the first 16 of her life. But the problem is she had some sort of accident that gave her amnesia. So we're left wondering how exactly she got into the accident, who her current guardians are and WHY have they made it their/Scarlett's mission to destroy them.Book 1 of this series is such a perfect r set up for a series, hooks you on the characters and story and also leaves you desperate to know the answers to all of your questions. Now let's talk about these horsemen!Holy hell they are spicy.West is downright psychopathic (well they all are) but west is just so hard around the edges. He is so hurt that the woman he's been in love with since he was 16 doesn't remember him. He's clearly trying to protect himself by keeping her at a distance.Pres - He's your cinnamon roll of the group. Sure, he's got his kinks (voyeurism) but the second Scar shows real emotions, he's putty in her hands!!Drake and Francis are the ones I'm still struggling to get a read on. They're possessive, domineering, control freaks who are kinky as f*k. But we haven't managed to Crack their shells yet.And its still hard to really see who Scar is. We know who the boys remember her being and are desperate to drag out of her, but we also see the scared, repressed but also desperate girl who is trying to discover who she is on her own too.Super recommend this book - cannot freaking wait for book 2!12/104/5 spicy**trigger warning: some dubious consent - so if you can't get past that in a book , then this isn't for you.

Not the best
I was offered to read one of the Four Horsemen book along with rekindling my kindle. I haven’t even finished it it was so bad. A lot of repetition, did I say there was a lot of repetition ? And not much of a plot, at first anyway. Some questionable morals which were expected, but I was not expecting them so low. I’m sorry I didn’t like it, I am a big fan of this genre and I also have some idea how hard it is to write, but I don’t think you need to dilute the morals or the plot to make a story dark and sexy. The idea of the four horsemen though was a brilliant idea.

Dark Romance
If you like dark Romance with spice then you should definitely read this one. Althought I wished I had bought all 4 books of this series at once. Now I have to wait🤣😭. At times I find it frustrating not nowing the answers and the secrets, but that also makes me want to read the next book. My compliments to the writer😁

OMG 🔥
This book was amazing. It was so unexpectedly good and the perfect ratio of spice to plot. I finished this book in just over a day, completely unable to put it down.We basically have scarlet and the 4 Men secretly working against each other while trying to deny their feelings. Scarlet has no memory of the 4 men from when she was younger due to an accident (which we don’t find out about in this book). However, they remember her like it was yesterday. They also know that she is working to take them down which she remains blissfully unaware of until the jaw dropping end of this book & maybe even the next, I don’t know yet. This book gave serious Den of Vipers vibes (with slightly less spice) in my opinion, you may not agree and that’s fine. But I loved Den of Vipers so this is a compliment. There are some morally grey characters in this who do questionable things to Scarlet, however Sarah Bailey is very good at reassuring us readers that her female MC is totally content with the situations taking place. It is so great to see the development of the male characters once they are close to Scarlet again, and how they are battling with their revenge plan (which we also don’t find out about in this book) and their undeniable love for their childhood sweetheart.I have already ordered next book in the series and can’t wait to see what happens next. This is a Dark Reverse Harem Romance, with mature themes and content some readers may find unsettling. Which ends on a serious Cliffhanger…
