Review: Lacking decent instructions. - Ordered one of these through desertcart. It duly arrived (it’s massive) but fitted with an EU plug! British made, bought in Britain for use in Britain but fitted with an EU plug. Not happy. To cut a long story short, ended up getting in touch directly with Maxblast who apologised profusely and sent an adapter free of charge. You have to destroy the packing box to get it out as it is impossible to lift without a crane. I also have to mention the completely inadequate instruction booklet. A5 in size with a small, exploded view of the vacuum and its parts that is not a lot of help putting it together or what does what. I don’t think I am missing any parts but it is hard to tell. The most annoying bit is that there are three identical switches on the top front of the vacuum with absolutely no explanation as to which switch does what. With no help online except a reproduction of the same instructions I guess you have to phone Maxblast and ask them. I really would expect an item in this price bracket to be sold with comprehensive instructions. Does it work? Well I can now turn it on thanks to the adapter and it seems to function OK. It turns out after trying them that the three switches are apparently all to turn it on/off! So take your pick. Strange. Only time will tell whether it was a good buy or not. I also bought the kit that enables you to clean out gutters at height. The main reason for purchase. However with the weather as it has been I have not had a chance to test its efficiency.
