Fantastic! Love this nailer.
I bought this to build the closets in our new house. Absolutely great investment. Works really well, jams are infrequent and easy to clear, and gets the job done. Maybe if I did this for a living, I'd go get one of the super expensive ones, but for what I am doing, I don't imagine that it gets much better than this unit.

THE FORCE AWAKENS YOUR FRAMING NAILS
Move aside, clumsy compressor hoses, you serpent of inconvenience! For I have beheld the CRAFTSMAN CMCN618B Cordless Brad Nailer, and it is a tool of liberation. Gone are the days of being tethered to a loud, wheezing pneumatic idol in the garage. This bad boy runs on pure, V20 faith, delivering up to 420 nails on a single charge—a number so bountiful it feels like the feeding of the 5,000, but for baseboards. It finds its power not from a compressor or a costly gas cartridge (the false prophets of the hardware world) but from its own inner light. It is lightweight and perfectly balanced, making it a true Comforter during long projects. And when it jams? Fear not! For it offers tool-free redemption, a grace we surely don't deserve for our hurried, crooked attempts. It’s the only tool I trust to lay down trim with a power that feels… transcendental. It’s not just a nailer; it’s a testament to the fact that the right tool can save you, and this one drives nails like it has a direct line to the Father of all Carpentry. For years, my trim work was a path to the dark side—a cacophony of missed hammers, bent nails, and the incessant whirring of a compressor that sounded like a dying T-16 skyhopper. It was a wretched hive of scum and villainy. Then came the CRAFTSMAN V20 Brad Nailer, and it was as if a new hope had dawned. This isn't just a tool; it's a fully cordless salvation for DIY dark force users and sinners like me. It banishes the oppressive tyranny of hoses and compressors, offering a powerful, graceful motor that drives 420 nails on a single charge—a true miracle of loaves and fishes for the workshop. It fires with consistent, righteous power in any climate, from the humid swamps of Dagobah to the dry deserts of Tatooine, and its ergonomic design is so perfectly balanced it feels like it was crafted in the Corellian shipyards. Move over, Anakin Skywalker – you never had a real power tool! I recently traded my trusty, yet tragically compressor-dependent, pneumatic brad nailer for the CRAFTSMAN V20 Brad Nailer (CMCN618B), and let me tell you, it’s more revolutionary than Palpatine’s surprise election win! This cordless wonder doesn’t just drive nails; it nails the concept of freedom like Christ nailed sin to the cross (metaphorically speaking, please don’t try that with actual nails!). No more wrestling with hissing, immovable compressor "droids" or spending more on gas cartridges than a Hutt spends on spice – this baby runs pure, unadulterated battery-powered grace (up to 420 nails per charge, no less – that’s more nails than there are sandpeople in Tatooine!). Trying to build a crèche for my nativity scene in the garage during a Chicago "winter" that felt like Hoth? No problem! This little Jedi Master fired through knotty pine like it was buttered wampa hide, never once gasping like my old pneumatic tool would. The tool-free depth setting? It’s like the Holy Spirit gently guiding your work – no fiddling, just perfect penetration every time, reminding me that God’s love adjusts perfectly to my depth of need. And the balance? Lighter than Chewbacca’s conscience after he finally stops gluing random parts to the Millennium Falcon. I even used the belt hook to strap it to my tool belt like a lightsaber, humming the Imperial March while assembling a bookshelf. Did it bring peace to my woodworking? You betcha! Not the "peace" of the Empire (which is just tyranny with good PR), but the true peace that surpasses all understanding – the kind that comes from knowing you’re equipped, empowered, andcordlessly free to build the good works God prepared in advance for you (Ephesians 2:10, nail it!). Forget "I have the high ground," this is "I have the high drive rate!" The V20 isn't just a nailer; it's a tangible reminder that in Christ, we are freed from the heavy burdens (and noisy compressors) of the world, empowered for service, and perfectly balanced by His Spirit. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some Wookiee-sized plywood to fasten for Chewie’s new "Prank Han Solo’s Speeder" storage unit! Move over, lightsabers – the real weapon against the Dark Side of shoddy craftsmanship has arrived: the Craftsman V20 Brad Nailer! Forget compressors hissing like irate Sarlacc pits or gas cartridges costing more than Han Solo's tab at the Mos Eisley cantina. This cordless wonder isn't just driving brads; it's delivering 420 nails per charge – a miraculous loaves-and-fishes feat that puts my puny attempts at bread-baking to shame! Truly, it’s the Grace of Cordless Freedom manifest! No longer am I shackled to the clanking, hose-dragging tyranny of "works-based nailing" (looking at you, Old Compressor Testament). This baby fires with Jedi-like consistency whether I'm battling the Tatooine heatwave in my garage or trying to convince stubborn MDF it wants to be part of my bookshelf – no compressor chains, no gas cartridge Pharisees judging my efficiency!Clearing a jam? Tool-free settings mean I rebuke the Dark Side (a stubborn nail) with the ease of Yoda whispering "Do, or do not... adjust this dial." Its lightweight balance feels like the Holy Spirit gently guiding my weary carpenter's arms, whispering, "Fear not, young apprentice, thy fatigue is forgiven!" And that belt hook? It’s the ever-present Comforter, always within reach when I need to nail salvation – I mean, a trim piece – just so. Brothers and sisters, this isn't just a tool; it's a nail-driven parable: Like Christ freed us from the law's impossible weight, the V20 frees us from compressor chains! One charge, one purpose: drive righteousness deep... into the wood. May the nails be with you, always! (And seriously, it won't make you levitate... but 420 nails? That's practically a resurrection.) Questions and Answers from around the Galaxy: Q: Does the "Optimal Balance" setting include resisting the Dark Side's temptation to use it as a lightsaber hilt during intense nailing sessions? A: Absolutely! The lightweight, centered design prevents Wookiee-rage when you miss a brad. Though, confession: I did hum the Imperial March while driving the final nail on a bookshelf for my Sith Lord nephew. The nail went in straight. The Force was not with my judgment that day. (Forgive me, Father, for I have nail-ed.) Q: Is the "Powerful Motor" strong enough to finally nail down Darth Vader's temper tantrums? A: Sadly, no. The Dark Side of Compressed Air (a.k.a. gas cartridges) is seductive but unreliable. However, meditating on this nailer's cordless freedom while working might just bring you the inner peace needed to peacefully ignore Vader's complaints about the Death Star's loose paneling. True power comes from within... and a 20V max battery! Q: Can this nailer handle the emotional weight of assembling IKEA furniture while listening to Yoda explain the Force? A: Absolutely! Its "Optimal Balance" setting counteracts the crushing despair of cryptic instructions. Just remember: "Do or do not. There is no 'flat-pack assembly'." Also, 420 nails per charge means you'll finish BEFORE the existential crisis hits. Praise be! Q: The box says it drives up to 420 nails. But what if I have a really, really big project, like building a life-size replica of the Death Star’s interior trim? A: Fear not! While 420 may seem like a finite number, remember that the charge is with you, always, even to the end of the project. Simply have a second battery ready for your disciples to pass to you, and you shall be a witness to its power in Alderaan places. Q: The box says it works in "various climate conditions." Will it perform in the dry heat of Tatooine or the frozen wastes of Hoth? A: While it has not been officially tested by the Rebel Alliance, its powerful motor scoffs at humidity and laughs in the face of a chilly garage. It is steadfast and true, much like a certain hope we have. Q: What if I accidentally nail my thumb? Does the Gospel message include pain management? A: The Gospel brings eternal comfort, friend, but for immediate thumb-agony? The included user manual (aka "The Book of Common Sense") suggests aiming at the wood. However, the V20’s precision does minimize rogue-nail encounters! Remember: "Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his thumb for his brad nailer... but seriously, watch your fingers, it’s not that kind of love story." (John 3:16... for carpenters). Q: My old pneumatic nailer is loud, cumbersome, and leaves me feeling lost and forsaken. Can this tool save me? A: Brother, it already has. It delivers you from the bondage of hoses and the original sin of tripping over its air line. Go, and nail no more in darkness.

Works great!
Way better than an air unit. Good quality right out of the box. Easy to handle and quick depth adjustment.

Great battery operated nail gun.
This Craftsman nailer is a great tool. It looks and feels a bit bulky but does a great job delivering nails where you want them. Handy for DIY jobs around the house. It is super simple to use with minimal time getting up to speed in learning to use it and it works with my existing Craftsman batteries (not included). I nailed wainscoting, chair rail, cove base and corner molding very quickly and seamlessly. Buy it with a range of nails (3/4" - 2") and you can't go wrong.

Reliable Cordless Brad Nailer with Smooth Performance
The CRAFTSMAN V20 18GA brad nailer has been a solid addition to my tool lineup. While it has a fair amount of plastic and is heavier than expected, it feels sturdy and well-balanced in hand. Out of the box, I attached a V20 battery and loaded nails (both sold separately). The first nail went in too deep, but the depth adjustment was quick and responsive. After dialing it in, it drove nails flush with no jams or misfires. I’ve tested it on pine and poplar for flag projects, and it handles both with ease. The no-mar tip protects the wood, and the cordless design makes it super convenient—no compressor or hose to deal with. Pros: • Consistent firing with no jams • Easy depth adjustment • Portable and convenient Cons: • Battery and nails not included • A bit heavy for long sessions Overall, a reliable performer for DIYers and hobbyists. Looking forward to using it more on future projects.

Amazingly powerful
I bought this nail gun to make my job easier, and boy does it ever!! I already own almost every other piece of Craftsman 20v cordless tools, so this was an easy decision for me. And it sure beats having to bring out a compressor and hose, and then find an outlet that won’t trip the circuit breaker! You know what I’m talking about. Since I already own everything else Craftsman, I already have five or eight chargers and a dozen or so batteries from 2ah to 6ah. I’ve used this nailer for small cabinet drawer repair, to trim work to slightly bigger projects. From 3/4 inch to 2 inch wire brads, this little guy shoots em all. And having the extra batteries means that I don’t have to wait for recharging. Super gun, super price, and Im super happy

Buy this instead of dewalt and use an adapter
So glad I bought this. Tool manufacturers are becoming battery dealers so the tools have become cheaper while the batteries are higher. I already have Dewalt batteries so I just bought an adapter and it works great, this nail gun hasn't failed me yet. Faster than a hammer for sure

Great tool at a great price point!
I love this nailer! I have been dabbling more into DIY since we moved into a house so my tool collection is growing and this was the perfect addition. I have the Craftsman drill so the battery pack from that was compatible. I also love the idea of having one battery for multiple tools! This was perfect for a few installing molding and board and batten wall. Now I feel ready for a few other projects. Really happy with this nailer and the price point.
