Garmin Instinct 2X SOLAR, 50mm GPS smartwatch, built-in sports apps & health monitoring, SOLAR charging & ultra tough design features, up to 40 days battery life, Tan

The Garmin Instinct 2X Solar Tactical is a fantastic military styled rugged smartwatch that has pretty much everything you look for in this type of device, but with a utilitarian look that appeals to me. I like the memory in pixel display of the second generation Instinct as opposed to the current gen Amoled models. This does everything the higher end Garmin models do, with a couple of minor exceptions, for hundreds of pounds less in price point. I wear mine 24/7 and it takes a battering at work everyday with hardly a blemish to the hardwearing (yet lightweight) casing. For a big(ish) watch it weights next to nothing, so is comfortable on for extended periods. Monitors every type of fitness activity too, as well as sleep quality, and is relatively easy to use with practice, and has an excellent battery life (top up able with solar exposure). Does the business. Looks the business. Worth the investment.

Although superseded by the Garmin Instinct 3 tactical. This watch is a steal for the price and the colour that I wanted. I have G-Shocks which are great and that I bought for training but the Garmin is better suited to this and is better than the Casios in ease of use and especially the battery life where the solar panel is far better. Hopefully this watch will give me many years of service and based on all reviews I've seen should be the case.

Lots of functionality, but it's fairly easy to set up and use, although I'm only really scratching the surface with what I need (as opposed to want). The screen is clear to read, although there's a lot going on, and cycling through the options is easy. The battery life is great for day to day use, and the app is easy to use and set up on your phone. The only downside is that I can't seem to get a Pulse Ox reading.....

Brilliant watch and with the solar charging I get over a month of use before having to charge and in the summer depending on how much I'm outside almost two months without charging. My only gripe would be the strap is a little bit to soft this is my second strap in just over a year. In total 3 straps the one it came with and another two.

Brought the Casio gwg-1000B was so disappointed so I got the garmin instinct 2 tactical. It’s about half the price but what a difference this watch works superbly. Very happy with it.

Really was disappointed with Apple Watches, thought I’d give Garmin a try. To many features to list, but here’s just a few that I really like. Battery lasts for ages and with solar charging this can be boosted in the right conditions to almost infinite. Sleep monitoring, body battery, steps, stairs climbed all without a separate app and completely self contained (no need for a smartphone) Really tough construction, i use it as my work smartwatch, as a result it’s been knocked, bashed and scraped, it still looks like new (I did buy a screen protector just to be safe) Water proof so you can swim with it on and monitor your swimming session (don’t press buttons in the water though, it tells you this on their website) Very comfortable to wear all week, even during sleep (I have a Garmin Fenix 7X for weekends) It has a light on the top, sounds pointless but I never knew how useful that would be until I had one. Thoroughly recommend this smartwatch, like Apple Watch and G shock had a child.

Amazing watch, I've had a garmin instinct tactical 1, then 2 and now 2X. Only complaint is no software updates for a while
