Brain Quest Math Basics Grade 1: 750 Questions & and Answers to Build Math Smarts, Ages 6-7

I have used this series with both of my boys as a little bit of extra help. They both find them fun rather than work. Excellent product!

Both my children love this series and it is a great way for them to learn in a fun and interesting way. We have to swap some of the American words but this is not a problem. Because of the broad variety of topics it takes the children a while to learn them off by heart, I get bored long before they do!

Portable and user-friendly, these cards are good quality and my DD never gets bored of using them. They are quite pricey for what they are, but the range of questions and topics covered makes up for it, and makes a nice change to workbooks.

Brain Quest products are wonderful learning tools for children. I own 7 different Brain Quest products and will continue to buy more. Brain Quest Math approaches math problems in a fun and accessible way. Kids love these - parents too! In general, I have found that the ages/grades listed on these products is too high. For example, if the package says it is for a 6 year old, it is probably more appropriate for a 5 year old. This Brain Quest Math is listed for Grade 1 children but it is best for a Kindergarten child - just something to keep in mind when choosing one of these products.

My first grader is fine at math but these really challenge her. She loves them! I would suggest for an average second grader or accelerated first grader. Also it’s handy to have a notebook nearby bc some of the questions may require them to write out the problem (for example there’s 4 bikes and 3 tricycles how many wheels are there.) definitely a great thing to have in the car or on a plane or even the dinner table!
