We have Apple TV at home so we can broadcast our iPhone screen to the TV wirelessly but there are times when we are at our friend's house or at a hotel and have a need to share some pictures or video with others but they may not have Apple TV. Well, this is the perfect gadget to have it around for that purpose.You simply plug it into the lightning port and connect HDMI cable to the adapter and viola! the screen is now displayed on the connected TV or monitor with HDMI input. It will broadcast both video and audio since it's HDMI but please note that you will not be able to use this to broadcast any streaming app such as Netflix as it's been intentionally blocked for copyright purposes but this is great for showing your photo galleries or videos you recorded or even games that you are playing! You don't need to plug into AC power while using it but it's great that it has option to do so if your iOS device is running low on the battery so you can charge your device while using external TV or monitor to display the screen. Works wonderfully!

Bought to be able to watch various types of input into our tv in travel trailer. Has worked well so far for phone, iPad and laptop transfer to tv.

Save your money and buy the adapter apple makes. Bought this one because who wouldn’t save their money and buy the cheaper one. This adapter wouldn’t charger nor mirror my iPhone so I thought it was damaged so I returned it and got another one but same thing.

This is exactly what I needed to be able to run a projector off an old phone. My only complaint at this point is that the lightning plug is mounted crooked on the wire. No big deal, but I'd rather it was straight so everything would lay flat.

Was trying to go cheap with an HDMI to USB C connector and bought this. It worked for 1 day and then stopped working and nothing I could do would work. Tried it with several different cords, computers, and tvs and couldn’t get it to work again. Probably worth the money to spend a little more and get one that will last longer.

Great for testing cables cause I’m in the business.
